This is a good location for exploring the different sides of Kauai. It is quiet and secluded there.”

“I've stayed at the Pono Kai several times in the past, including using Elaine's place. The units are nice, quiet, and centrally located so it's not a bad drive to go either to the North Shore area (Hanalai, etc.) or south to Poipu etc. Wailua Falls, with kayaking etc. is nearby as is Fish Express (great stop for seafood). Right across the street are two supermarkets and the usual strip-mall counterparts so food is an easy stroll away, also nearby (walking distance) is the Coconut Grove Mall which is convenient for browsing/shopping etc and there's a good luau at a hotel there - though I forgot the name). Elaine is a very cool trustworthy person (she was an old roommate of mine) and I'd totally recommend renting this property from her.”
