UC Berkeley Bungalow

Great value for our money. Adreinne's apartment was very cosy and clean. We had a great time there and will be back for sure!

Everything nice.

Easy access to mass transit (campus was a bus ride away)neat and tidy. It's more a basement apartment than a "bungalow" but perfectly set up and comfortable. Adrienne was quick to respond to questions and very helpful.

Adreinne, was very friendly and responsive by email and would answer questions quickly both before and after arrival. I really appreciated having a place to myself. The apt. is very clean, tasteful and quiet. A bit on the chilly side so be prepared. Only one bedroom had heat, with a space heater in the other.

The flat was clean and spacious. My friends and I had a lot of fun!

We found the UC Berkeley Bungalow to be a great value for our week's stay in Berkeley! It accommodated three adults very well, with amply sized rooms and very comfortable beds. It was convenient to the UC Berkeley campus, and offered a place to park our car when not in use. Adrienne was very responsive to our questions throughout the process. We will definitely be booking the Bungalow for our next trip to Berkeley!

Adrienne was a wonderful host. Always answered calls and questions. She had a spacious place at a great price and great location. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we will book with her in the future. Highly recommended.

Adreinne is very kind and helpful, and did her best to make us feel like home. The place have plenty space and the beds are very confortable, and all the facilities are great. The neiborhood is very friendly. The only drawback is that is more than 30 mins of comute to San Francisco, but if you are like me and don't like to stay in the downtown areas of a city is the perfect place.

The Bungalow was an amazing place to stay! Every time I go to the Bay this is the spot I am booking. I almost don't want to let people know how great it was just so that it's available whenever I need! :) It was clean, spacious, and offered an at home feel with amenities provided. Adreinne was a great host -- answered every call and question! Thank you!

Great location in Berkeley, close to everything!! Large bedrooms and comfortable space in an amazingly quiet neighborhood. We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend there and were even able to cook a full turkey dinner. Thanks, Adreinne!

I had to attend a conference at the Walter E Convention Centre in Washington and indeed Adreinne's place is just minutes away. There's a Safeway about 10 mins walk away, so it was easy to stock up on supplies. The host was great, very prompt and clear with her responses to my inquiries and very accomodative of my request for an earlier check-in. I stayed on the 2nd floor and the steps leading up were quite steep so it was a bit hard to manouvere our luggage but other than that was happy with her place, it was clean, tidy and had all the basic necessities provided. Will consider coming back here if I had to go back to Washington DC for another conference.

Adrienne's place is modest but very comfortable. convenient to metro, bike share stands and chinatown. The small bedroom is dark (no window) so I slept on the very comfortable fold out couch. The street is amazingly quiet for a big city. all the neighbors were very friendly. Beautiful roses in the garden. I would totally stay here again. Kitchen is well stocked and functional too.

For people like us who needed to be near the Convention Center three days in a row, this was perfect. The apartment is quirky, with stairs in odd places, but it grew on us. Simply furnished, the apartment was quite roomy. Very Clean. Maybe not the Ritz, but for the price, a great value.

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. The pros are that it is convenient to the Metro, close to the Mall and other sites, clean, and on a quiet street. Depending on your needs, the cons may be that it doesn't have a tv and the second "bedroom" is a small room with no window. It worked well for our family of four.

Communication from Adreinne was very good and prompt. We were 2 adults and 2 children (one of which was a baby) and we stayed for 8 nights. Location Directly opposite the subway station with a shuttle to Prospect Park is very convenient. There wasn't much by way of places to go or hangout in the exact neighbourhood. A few blocks down Fulton there was a place called the Outpost, and down Franklin across Fulton we noticed a nice looking Espresso bar on our last day. If you are looking for a place to lay your head at night while exploring NY, then location isn't a huge issue. The Apartment It's very much like the photos. However when we arrived it was not clean. There were bed linens left in a cupboard, so I made up the beds. I opened a window to air the place and was overwhelmed with dust balls flying through the place. Under the bed, around the furniture etc. It had been some time since this place had been given a good cleaning. Adreinne was very responsive when I contacted her, she sent her assistant Paul who came a couple of hours later and did some cleaning. He was a very nice chap and even offered to go get me some bottled water. This apartment is up 3 flights of stairs. Not a problem for able bodied people. I arrived alone with baby, stroller and large suitcase. Adreinne very kindly asked her neighbour below who came along and carried up my case. It was also no problem leaving the stroller in the hall below. Overall Adreinnes place is a good choice. It's reasonably priced and the location opposite the subway is ideal if you're exploring the city.

This is a great value for the location, size and price. I was worried it would be too far of a walk to the Metro for my girls but it is a stone's through away and VERY CONVENIENT! We stayed here 11 nights with our 2 young girls plus we had a friend stay overnight with us a few nights with her 2 little girls. Adrienne was very friendly and available by phone and resolved any issues promptly. She brought us a hairdryer and plug for the bathtub when I told her there was not one in the apt. The washing machine and dryer is on the same level and very convenient to use and there is no additional charge! Families with children will appreciate this! The furniture is exactly as in the pictures. The kitchen is very well equipped and functional. We were not there during warm weather, but there were air conditioners available. Noise was not an issue at night (it was too cold to open the windows so can not vouch for noise level in summer). The smaller bedroom got cold at night. We did not use the space heaters provided but there were plenty of extra blankets and comforters and towels. The heat was still on in early April and the other rooms were comfortably warm. A few practical notes: If you stay here and arrive at night and can not find the light in the master bedroom, there is a tiny switch on the wall near the loveseat below the normal switch. You then have to adjust the brightness up and down. The pullout couch is only good for a couple of nights. The double bed in the smaller bedroom is fine for kids to sleep on. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The neighborhood is safe even at night. There are two supermarkets nearby - a Safeyway on 5th and L and Capitol supermarket - a small time mom and pop business in the opposite direction a bit closer. We had a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend the People's Place 2. I hope we get to stay here again!

We got what we paid for - a roof over our heads and a place to sleep. Having said that, the new beds were of such a low quality that one person in the party preferred to use the couch cushions, on the floor, as an improvement. We had two torn socks from unseen/unfound carpet nails – fortunately the 11 month old did not come into contact with them. The free Wi-Fi worked the 1st night and the last night of the seven day stay. This was the one problem, conveyed to the owner, which was not promptly addressed. While the listing said that there was a 24 hour grocery store across the street, it was no longer there, and a 5 block walk was required for groceries. I repeat we got a roof over our heads and a place to sleep; it’s just that one would hope for just a touch more than the minimum.

The location couldn't be better -- and Adreinne was wonderful about allowing us to bring our bags by, ahead of check-in time, and leaving them in the hall closet for a few hours beyond the check-out time, which made it so much easier to coordinate with our flight arrivals and departures. The house met all of our needs, and was attractively furnished. If we ever come to D.C. again, we know where to stay!

My wife and I stayed here for a week with our two small children (an infant and a toddler) and had a great time! The location is incredibly convienent. A metro stop, the convention center, Chinatown, groceries, restaurants, and lots more are very close by. We met several of the neighbors, and they were very friendly and welcoming. The space was perfect for our family and gave us some room to spread out. If you are worried about the neighborhood, I can assure you that it is just fine. On our first night in town we had dinner at a cafe about a block away, and it was filled with young professionals and foreign diplomats. It was quiet all night, even with the windows open, so whatever noise issue used to exist here has been taken care of. There is a large housing project across the street, which I know would concern some people, but it was really not an issue for us. This place was great for us and our kids, and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Next time I might try to get the first-floor apartment if it's available, though, since the stairs are tought to navigate with a double stroller.

A group of classmates and I stayed here for a conference in January. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the location truly couldn't have been better! It was a pleasant, half an hour walk to the Hilton, where the conference was being hosted. The local neighborhood had a great coffee shop and some neat bars and restaurants. Adrienne was friendly and accessible by phone and e-mail while planning the trip and during the trip whenever we had any questions. I would definitely try to stay here if traveling to DC again.

A beautifully appointed open space in a classic Brooklyn brownstone featuring original detail and all the comforts of home. The neighborhood is ideal, one of Brooklyn's most eclectic, diverse and happening. Near all services and steps from the subway (only 20 min to Manhattan!). Tastefully furnished and comfortable, its a great place to stay for an authentic NYC experience, you may not want to leave!

Adreinne's place is very nice and comfortable, and conveniently located.
