Los Angeles Times Featured Cabin

We had an absolutely wonderful time in the cabin. It was just perfect for our little ski weekend. We loved the location and it was so nice to come home to a warm house and fireplace. We'll definitely be staying there again. Thank you!

This cabin was perfect for our weekend stay in Big Bear. Centrally located, very cozy and comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay here, and we hope to stay again soon one day.

Suzan's cabin is the absolute epitome of what you want when you go to a cabin in the mountains. Pitch-perfect decor, just the right amount of space (for up to four folks), an awesome fireplace and all the great tools you'll need if you want to dine in. This is a great place to just relax, have some wine and make some great food and hang with your friends. The one drawback is that it's right off the main highway in Big Bear, but the fact that it's so close to the two main ski slopes in the area, as well as all of the great things about Big Bear--antiques, a wonderful little brewery/restaurant right across the street, a small market practically next door...well, that all kind of makes up for it. Suzan answered every email/text immediately and had every answer for every question we had--we never met in person, but she was such a great communicator. This is a great place for skiing and also just getting away. We will definitely be visiting Suzan's cabin again.

Suzan's cabin is absolutely beautiful and cozy. We spent a wonderful weekend here. This is a well designed antique cabin with modern updates: gas fireplace, antique tub with powerful/functional shower, gas stove with griddle, and dishwasher. The front room is spacing and cozy. The back room is quite and easy access to the bathroom. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes/cups/pots/pans/utensils. There is also a washing machine. The cabin is 5 minutes drive away from Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. A walking distance to a lovely bakery, mini mart, and restaurants. Suzan is very nice and really responsive of all questions. Highly recommend this place!

Great place, even better location it is walking distance to all the bars and resturants. very comfy everything you need for a good holiday!

We loved it! Kitchen was fully stocked and rooms were a decent size. The cabin is located right off the main road and steps away from a cute little bakery and latin restaurant. Highly recommend staying here.

my only compliant is that the cabin is located off the main road when i was hoping for something a bit more secluded. but besides that the cabin was great! very cosy! the decor is very charming and you have everything you might need to make your day comfortable; fridge, pans, dishes, blanket, etc. i would definitely go back.

as an artist ,when i travel , i try and pick out the most interesting spaces to stay in and surround myself with,so's not to stifle my creativity,when i create work outside of my studio in NYC, well NOT only was Suzans space a Hidden oasis ,centrally located to everything,but Suzan is a talent beyond comprhension,AMAZING and i fed off of her vibe so naturally , that it would be hard to stay anywhere else in LA again,Its rough to give a review like this one ,because i am afraid if the word gets out , i will have trouble staying there on my travels to Lost and Jealous.........Cant wait to get back....................Army of One

Suzan's oasis in LA is just perfect. I loved being here, very relaxing and Suzan has fabulous design taste so her place is full of many great things. The outdoor front patio was beautiful for breakfast and the parking was easy. This is a beautiful, homely hassle free place to stay proudly protected by the very cute Fellman the terrier. Suzan was very easy to communicate with, we also shared some good conversations on design. I will for sure stay here again.

I was looking for a spot in Hancock park near 3rd, and Suzan was right where i needed to be. Location is outstanding. She made me feel very welcome, and i never though twice about where to kick my feet up. We had coffee together both mornings, chatted about design projects we were working on, and current topics then went on our way. She has the sweetest puppy, beautiful grounds and a stunning home. The room had one of the best beds I've ever slept on, so if you are wondering... I slept 8 hours, woke up fresh and ready for the day. Shower was powerful, bathroom was beautiful, and offered good privacy. Thank you again for hosting me Suzan. It was a pleasure.

Casbah Citrus is where you should be when visiting LA! Centrally located and accessible to many points of interests: Walking distance to the LACMA, the Folk Art museum and the El Rey for great live shows. Metro friendly to the beach, hiking in Runyon Canyon, touristy Hollywood or Downtown. Fantastic restaurants, like Umami Burger, Mozza, & Bazaar or if you're feeling adventurous, there is a slew of restaurants in Koreatown. Fabulous shopping areas from the Grove, the Beverly Center & the unique La Brea Ave boutiques and art galleries. After engaging in all these bustling urban activities, Suzan's home makes the perfect retreat on a safe and quiet tree lined street. Suzan makes a great hostess as she genuinely cares about everyone she meets and has a keen sense of respect for anybody's personal space. As you can see in the pictures she takes pride in her uniquely beautiful space. I would rather sleep chic in a clean and loving home, rather than any hotel while in LA. ************************************ RE: BIG BEAR LAKE CABIN I just spent a couple days at the cabin in Big Bear Lake on the last weekend of summer and had the best time ever! The drive was less then an hour and a half away from Los Angeles, but the lifestyle is so much slower and easy going, that it really felt like we were somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. The evenings were already getting cooler so we burnt some wood in the fireplace to add to the smells of autumn. The decor was tastefully vintage and chic, which is reflective of Suzan's sophisticated style and sense of humor. Plenty of places to eat especially a wonderful bakery two doors down called, Sugar Pine, that had the best cinnamon rolls made fresh daily. And the vintage shopping! Many vintage stores with prices that beat the city's finds. Can't wait to go back and indulge in all the sights and smells of the autumn season that the city of Los Angeles is usually deprived of. I also think this would be the perfect place if you are into outdoor winter sports like skiing and snowboarding! Definitely a place to stay in the best cabin style for all seasons.
