Mission Garden Apartment

My boyfriend and I had a great time in San Francisco! We felt that we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Both David and his partner Yosh were very accommodating, flexible and their apartment was clean and artsy/cute. We absolutely loved the neighborhood and it was extremely close the the BART station and buses to travel all over the city. We even got locked out and David was close by to let us back in :) Definitely would stay here again when I come back to SF - that is if I don't move there!

The Mission Garden is a magical studio, in a diverse neighborhood, in a wonderful city. Every day was a celebration and every night was an adventure. Communication was excellent from the time of booking to checking-out.

David was an excellent host with great communication -- he even let us visit his office when we forgot to print out our tickets for Alcatraz. It was a very unique property in a colourful neighborhood (close to great food and markets) with an excellent library to boot (from Sartre to walking tours of the city). The lovely bikes took us around, from Bernal Heights to the Pacific to the Golden Gate Bridge; and construction started and finished as promised. All in all, we had an awesome stay.

David's set up a lovely little place in the Mission District, opening onto a lovely courtyard and just around the corner from tons of great eats and coffeespots. the modern, open style of the studio was fantastic, giving the two of us plenty of room to work and relax during our 10-day visit. the kitchen is simple, but completely functional - it was fantastic to be able to make our own coffee and breakfast before heading out to the conference every day. we were most enamored with the bikes David provided, which gave us tons of flexibility to romp all over the city in our spare time...and started lots of great conversations (people apparently don't see many bright orange bikes cruising around together). David's super-attentive and friendly and answered all of our questions quickly, even staying up to meet me for my late arrival. he's prepared a binder full of great local suggestions and the construction noise he warned us about in advance was not bad at all (except perhaps Saturday mornings). all in all, a wonderful, stylish stay that we'd like to repeat - maybe a *bit* pricier than other similarly sized options in the MIssion and other cities, but the comfort (and the bikes!) make it worth it.

Very nice place and very comfortable/clean. Great location with walking to everything on Mission/Valencia. The (temporary) construction noise was quite loud, but we were warned ahead of time about it. Otherwise, not much room for improvement!

Nice place. David was easy going and quick to respond to questions and was accommodating to a couple requests I had. While I was not crazy about the location (a personal preference - although it was close to a particular market I loved) it was fine. I did not enjoy the construction that was going on, only for the lack of privacy it gave me - there is a huge picture glass wall that is beautiful, and that is really the only window to the apartment, but because of the construction, I did not feel comfortable leaving the curtain open. Just a personal thing on my part. Otherwise, it's a fabulous place.

a beautifully appointed, quiet and private space in a bustling and wonderful neighborhood. The studio is a reflection of David's aesthetics, taste and a clear desire to see things well done. one of my best stays so far.

David's apartment is SO cool! There's a Calder print on the wall above the bed and complimentary coffee in the kitchen. We loved having access to his two bikes, and the location in the Mission couldn't be better in terms of neighborhood and citywide transportation. The apartment is comfortable, attractive, and amazingly quiet. The garden courtyard adds a charming touch--can't wait to see what the Zero Cottage (which is currently being built there) will look like when it's done. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Simple, beautiful space (it shows that the host is an architect). Great location both on a quiet street but near the hustle of the Mission. Will be back!
