Overlooking sunset on the lagoon

  This is a wonderful apartment for those looking for lots of space in an area that's close enough to all the action, but is also removed from the heavy tourist traffic. One of our favorite experiences during our visit was shopping shoulder-to-shoulder with the locals at the neighborhood grocery store around the corner. Sonia is an excellent host. We arrived to find a light breakfast and plenty of coffee to sustain us through the visit. The rooftop deck is very nice, but the lagoon is difficult to see unless you're standing and looking around the corner. Instead, you're view is primarily of other rooftops. It's still nice, just don't expect to be staring at the water. Another perk: The location is a short boat ride from the airport. This place is a fantastic value.

  Beautiful apartment in a great location. The grocery store and water taxi stop were just minutes walk away. The apartment had a great tub and an outside deck with a view of the water. Sonia was prompt responding to our questions and made us feel very welcome.

  Perfetto! Sonia's apartment is absolutely beautiful - clean, spacious and in a great location! Directions provided were perfect and restaurant suggestions were fabulous. Aunt Linda is a lovely host - we didn't want to leave! Grazie mille Sonia - we will be back!

  We stayed for 4 nights, 2 parents, our daughter, and my mother. The apartment was very comfortable and well equiped. It was easy to reach from the vaporetti (3 or 4 minute walk), and not far from San Marco. Having seperate floors and a bathroom on each floor gave my wife and I more privacy, which was very nice.

  Great host, wonderful apartment. It's in a quiet part of what can be a tourist-trampled city, yet walking distance to everything you want to see. Easy to reach by water bus from the airport. Not an apartment for people who can't or won't do stairs - otherwise, very good indeed. Highly recommended and a much nicer way to stay in Venice than some anonymous hotel, IMHO.

  Sonia was so wonderful and communicative, from start to finish. She responded quickly to my questions during the booking process, and she gave us perfect directions from the train station to her apt. Although she was at work when we arrived, her Aunt Linda checked us in easily, and then Sonia called us right away to greet us. The apt is wonderful, and we enjoyed spending the evenings on the terrace, while munching on antipasti from the supermarket around the corner, watching the sun set over the Venetian lagoon. Highly recommended!

  Sonia's place was great! Beautiful and spacious. Breakfast and Sunset on the roofdeck overlooking the Lagoon was a great memory. The neighborhood is PERFECT as well - just away from the big crowds, but just in the middle, close to everything you'd like to see. Great restaurants all around as well...

  This was my first Airbnb experience and we thought it worked out great! I was traveling with my father and daughter and thought it would be nice to have a living area at night where we could hang out and chat. The apartment made us feel like we really lived in Venice and was walking distance to most things. The apartment was spacious and the roof deck was really appreciated by my artist father and daughter. The apartment is loft style which I did not realize from the description which means that the bedroom upstairs does not have a door. I initially though this may pose a problem since my father is a snorer but it turned out to be fine! Sonia leaves a very helpful letter and her aunt lives downstairs in case you need something. Sonia was also very helpful in answering general questions about Venice and was always prompt in her response. Charming place i would recommend to my friends!

  Sonia was very welcoming, and kindly provided us with directions to her apartment. It was as spacious as it seemed in the pictures, and she even had breakfast laid out for us, instructions, maps and anything we might need. The few minor issues we had on turning up (we were late!) were sorted promptly and efficiently. I'd highly recommend her place as a home away from home!

  This was a very pleasant stay in a great location! Linda was a delightfully courteous host in spite of the language barrier. Linda made us great homemade coffee and both my wife and I loved it very much. Thank you! Easy to reach by water bus from the airport as Sonia gave us amazing directions; Highly recommend the apartment as it is much nicer way to stay in Venice than hotels. For anyone thinking of visiting Venice be prepared to get lost! Not once or twice… probably every time you leave the house. Bring a detailed map of the city. Overall a very nice stay and Thank you Linda and Sonia!

  This was a very pleasant stay in a great location! Linda was a wonderfully gracious host despite the language barrier - all important information was communicated. Not a room to spread out in, but then that's probably hard to find in Venice :) Would definitely recommend this place, good to be able to stay in Venice for the price.

  Linda made us great coffee homemade coffee and I like it very much! The location is prefect if you want a bit quiet place and it took 1 minute can walk to the sea and Coop Super market and you can buy something to cook! Enjoy!

  Easily located if you follow the detailed direction given by the hostess,this very old but internally modernised home is away from the crowds but less than a 10 minute walk to St Mark's square, after you repeat it a few times to orientate yourself. A very comfortable and warm old bed, a modern if (and what else would you expect in Venice) narrow bathroom,and good wi-fi access. I didn't meet the hostess (but the caretaker (who speaks only italian-and I none) is a very friendly Signoria who nevertheless made me entirely at home. The hosts were also able to help me put up a visiting friend for the evening at very short notice. thank you again.

  venice is magical! the apt is in a perfect location - away from the massive amounts of tourists - and yet it's walking distance to everything you'll want to see. i spent most of my time walking not following a map (it's hard to follow a map in venice) but i managed to find all the sights i wanted to see. the apt is perfectly clean and nice. aunty linda is a very nice woman as well!!

  I was very happy with our stay here in Venezia. It is definitely for those who would like to experience a bnb in a real venetian area and in the back streets not too far from Piazza San Marco. Be ready to get a bit lost but Sonia was excellent in dealing with any queries and was accurate with telling us how to get to her place. Aunty Linda was extremely helpful - only in Italian - so it was great for me to get my rusty Italian out and use it!! The breakfast was very basic - but thats already been outlined :)) It is a bit of a distance from the vaporetto stop and the steps are steep and old (not the standardised type) and quite a lot to the first floor - but if you're happy with that - you'll love it for the atmosphere... the bathroom was great but long and narrow - ahh but the toilet has a heater right next to it :))) We had Wifi problems at first but Aunty Linda had a technician come out to fix it and it was fine after that ! I'm happy to recommend a stay here and would definitely return.

  Despite not knowing any of the Italian language, Linda was still able to make my stay an enjoyable one. I was given clear instructions on how to find the apartment and never had gotten lost in Venice. The room was large and extremely clean. The apartment is walking distance to everything, and of course conveniently located beside the vaporetto stop. Thanks for such a great stay!
