Cosy Attic Space in Berkeley + dog!

I love this space. It is unique. However, it may not be for everyone. The attic stairs can be a bit difficult to navigate. I would recommend this to anyone who is traveling very lightly as lifting baggage into the attic calls for someone strong. The rest of the house is nicely kept, Jabu is wonderfully welcoming and sociable. Biscuits, the dog, is a real sweetheart. The location couldn't be better for anyone wishing to experience San Francisco and the East Bay!

Jabu was a wonderful host, she definitely made our (mine & my dog's) stay quite comfortable. She was nice enough to take us in last minute, out of pure compassion. Then, after my first night - she asked how I slept and I had told her I loved everything but the pillow wasn't exactly firm enough for me. Then, I mentioned that I would simply grab a new one in my travels, but I never even had time to because she picked one up 2 days later and left it outside my door! Biscuits Jackson is very sweet girl and was extremely tolerable of my teeny tiny, fragile, little guy. She showed him who was boss and that was that. Overall, I loved being at Jabu's, even her other guests were a joy to be around! In fact, if she hadn't had someone coming to take my room - I may have tried to stay longer =)

Staying with Jabu has been the best experience that I could have hoped for. Jabu has been very helpful in every way possible. For my future stays in the Bay Area, I wouldn't go anywhere else for the following reasons: 1. The house is great and has everything you need 2. The host is a great, honest person. 3. Location. It's a 5 minute walk from Ashby station and Berkeley Bowl 4. Affordable Highly recommended!

I have extended my stay here 3 times for the following reasons: 1. The house is in a great location close to the Ashby station 2. Despite her very busy schedule, Jabu keeps the house very clean. 3. Jabu is a great person in every way possible It was an excellent stay with the best host you could possibly ask for. Highly recommended!

I have been at Jabu's place for over a month now. To say that she is simply the perfect host would be an understatement. She is very generous, kind, and easygoing. I had plans to move into different areas around SF, but my stay here has been so perfect that I couldn't go elsewhere. I extended my stay three times, so I guess that tells you how happy I have been staying here. The house is very nice and there's everything you need. Jabu keeps it very clean and the rooms are large and nicely furnished. The kitchen has everything too, so cooking shouldn't be an issue It's very conveniently located close to the Ashby station, so transportation shouldn't be an issue for anyone coming to work in SF - I have been taking the BART down to the city almost everyday. In all, my stay couldn't have been better and I'd come back every time I am in the area.

Jabu is an all around lovely person. She brings positive energy to every situation. She can be the voice of reason, while also being a friend to lean on. I would recommend Jabu as a host, or a guest. If you're a host, you'll be lucky to have her and her awesome dog, Biscuits!

I have known Jabu (and her adorable companion, Biscuits Jackson) for almost a year now. Talk about a dynamic duo! Both Jabu and "B" lead with their warmth and friendliness, creating a positive atmosphere wherever they go. I am fortunate to work with Jabu and find her to be sincere, thoughtful, and professional- with a fabulous sense of humor! Well-traveled, creative, and friendly, she is the perfect companion for any activity. From a hike in Berkeley to a shopping excursion for the perfect vintage side table, Jabu is my companion of choice! I have stayed at her charming place, sunlit and serene, and highly recommend that you do too! :)

Jabu is Wonderful! She is friendly, considerate and respectful. Her dog, Biscuits is one of my best-friends. Jabu has impeccable taste in spaces and in people! Anyone in Airbnb-land would be lucky to have her as a Host or as a guest :)

I have known Jabu since she was a baby---she is a person of utmost integrity, caring and engaging. She is very worldly and well travelled, but also down to earth. She loves to have a good laugh and while serious about the world, does not take herself to seriously. She is bound to give a good insider tips on what is happening in the local scene.

What can I say about Jabu-- she's one of the most inspirational people I know! We've known each other for well over 15 years. Jabu has taught me a lot about my relationship to others, particularly, my relationship, as a man, to women. Knowing her has made me a better father, teacher and person. I have a great deal of respect for her intelligence, her integrity, and her courage. If you can't tell by now, she is a special person. You would be a fool not to want to host Jabu.

Jabu has a spirit unlike anyone else I've ever met. She is a constant joy and gets along with everyone. I consider myself so lucky to have a friend like her. She would treat any home like it was her own.
