Extremely well organised and full of insightful information that would be impossible to get anywhere else. This should be the first thing anyone does on Kyoto.

We made a last minute reservation due to a cancelation from another guide so thankfully Kommy responded very fast and we were able to reserve this tour. The expla6for meeting point were easy to follow and Kommy was extremely nice and a very knowledgeable guide. We were able to do a lot during the tour. The explanation was very interesting and we saw more than what we could have seen ourselves. He gave us history of the places we saw and explained meaning of what we were seeing. We would highly recommend this activity

I got a lot of insight and stories from Kommy on this tour that I probably would not have gotten were I to go on my own. I had just arrived from Osaka that morning. I was a little stressed because I had to find a locker for my luggage at the station. There were plenty. I was early and noticed Kommy was there, too, already waiting. (easy to spot since he sent photos in advance of where to meet) He welcomed me and we went to get coffee at the combini nearby. It was just me and him that day. We were on a strict schedule. Kommy was always aware of the times for the train/bus to the the next station. But there was ample time to explore each area. I never felt rushed. Of all the tours I went on during my trip to Japan, Kommy had the best English. At each spot he would stop and point out things and tell stories/histories. Sometimes linking to recent events, pop culture, and buddhist legends. ex. Who knew a small waterfall at Kin Kaku Ji had something to do with Pokemon. If I went alone and looked at a garden, I would see a garden. But Kommy would talk about why the rocks and trees where this way and that or how a certain flower was a symbol of the samurai. Then he would pull out his binder and show pictures of related information. I learned so much. He was so comfortable to be with that he even welcomed stories from me and the connections I made. We really did beat the crowd. Though I lucked out a little bit because of the Corona Virus there weren't many tourists. So even Kommy was surprised that the Bamboo Forest wasn't packed. He waited patiently for me to take selfies and photos. Lastly, I had a lunch reservation immediately after the tour. Instead of going back to Kyoto Station, he helped me find my restaurant in Arashiyama, then walked me to it. Talk about service. Above all, I fell in love with Kyoto almost immediately. This tour was a great introduction to the city.
