Learn how to make an authentic MASA dough to make Tortillas, Sopes, Quesadillas as well as a classic chili salsa and a variety of delicious fillings.
A tour and brief history of the market will also be given, you will see native and international fruits, meats, vegetables, prehispanic foods such as insects, gourmet salsas, as well as many exotic types of meats on sale; Lion, Tiger, Deer, Amadilos, Crocodile, Skunk, and other delights such as ant egg quesadillas, Mezcals, wines, beers and cheese.
Our trained local Mexican chef (my business partner) will guide the workshop, you will get hands-on experience in making the tortillas yourself. You will learn what it means to make a good and authentic tortilla, Sopes and Quesadilla, handmade and pressed. You can taste the difference and our guests have all said they will be taking these recipes back home!
