We will meet in my rustic house in North Vancouver and spend the afternoon making traditional Polish Pierogies, following my grandma's recipe. You will receive the full recipe and I will teach you how to easily recreate pierogies at home.
We will begin with some traditional Polish snacks, while I share a brief history of Polish Pierogi. Then I will explain how to make a classic potato filling. And we will get our hands dirty, forming the perfect dough. You will get all the tricks and tips on how to make a perfectly soft and light dough. We will then make Pierogi by hand.
To finish the afternoon, we will enjoy lunch together, feasting on what we've just prepared.
You will leave with a new skill, belly filled with Pierogi, and a Tupperware full of pierogies (15 each). Go ahead and share them with your family and friends (or keep them in a freezer for a late night's guilty pleasure).
All ingredients will be provided, and you will receive a printed recipe.
I can accommodate up to 5 people, so we can do all the cooking together. The class will be interactive, rather than demonstrative, so bring an apron, or you might get covered with flour dust:)
