This online 45 minutes class will be conducted in an easy-to-understand manner, a perfect fit for who are looking for ways to relax, or are simply interested in Japanese tradition , samurai, or martial arts, that's doing Zazen together.

I'm a kyudo master.

Kyudo is called "standing Zazen".   Zazen and Kyudo have a lot in common, both were training for Samurai.

I'll teach you the practical Zen meditation.

You can incorporate what you have learned into your daily routine, which can help with your concentration and have positive effects on many aspects of your life through Zen meditation.
We’ll try yoga moves to prime your body before going into the Zazen session. 

the following steps, There may be changes made to these contents.
1. greeting
2. Self-introduction
3. Confirm the effect of Zazen
4. Breathing exercises
5. Zazen practice (first time)
6. Preparatory exercise A. Various stretches
7. Preparation exercise B. yoga
8. Zazen practice (second time)
9. Useful things in real life (PC work ,using smartphone)

I have been practicing Kyudo since I was a high school student, and I obtained the title of master after years of training.

In the past, I faced many problems while practicing Kyudo, and in order to address them, I took up Zazen, since Zazen and Kyudo are deeply connected and have many things in common. In fact, Kyudo is called “standing zen meditation”. Furthermore, I went on to practice yoga to improve my meditation skills.

Now, not only do I coach skilled Kyudo players, but I also work as a sports trainer for various types of athletes such as marathon runners, baseball players, and martial artists.

I especially focus on “body position”, and can logically explain how to move your body effectively.

I had a great one to one experience learning zazen during this session. I have done Zen for four years, but this was a whole new perspective and I learned a lot and had fun with Jun.

This was a really special class and experience. The class teaches you about how mentally strong people can get through the toughest times. I think now more than ever we need to be mentally strong and the class helped me start that journey. Jun is friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. I learned a lot about Japanese culture/history and connecting the body with the mind.

Jun was very knowledgeable on the topics of Samurai, Japanese History, and Zen meditation. This experience was a great primer and I will incorporate some of these new skills into my regular meditation practice.

I was introduced to samurai martial art practices. He demo’d his practice and in preparation, showed us zazen postures and how to gain more fluidity in movement. I learned great useful tips to start a zazen practice.

Got an authentic experience of virtually meeting a Japanese Samurai. Daichi is very personable and friendly. Though English is not his first language, he tries to make every effort to make the experience as interesting as he can.
