Have you ever wondered what makes hummus so velvety? Have you tried making hummus before only to be disappointed with the taste or texture?

Hummus is created by blending simple ingredients until it reaches a smooth, creamy cloud of deliciousness. Back home in Lebanon it’s a household staple and one of the easiest dishes to prepare.

Join my AirBnB Experience and I'll show you how to make the most amazing and authentic hummus. I’ll share some awesome tricks and family secrets to help perfect your hummus.

I like to infuse my cooking lessons with funny stories and memories of my upbringing and learnings in the kitchen. It’s my way of animating the experience and sharing special bits of Lebanon with you.

We’ll finish off by learning how to plate and present your hummus in way that will be sure to impress your friends and family, or that special someone!

Before we end the class, we will break bread together. As a group of new friends — a "Hummus Family,” we will dig into a beautiful bowl of hummus made from the comfort of our homes. Close your eyes and imagine that fluffy, velvety hummus. Can you taste it yet?

  • Here's what you need to make my velvety Hummus:
  • 2 cups *cooked chickpeas. 1 lemon. 1/2 cup of water (icy or very cold). 2-3 cloves of garlic. 1/4 cup Tahini . Salt.
  • For garnish: 4-5 tbsp olive oil. Choice of vegetables: 2 radishes thinly sliced, 2 Tbsp diced red onions, 2 Tbsp finely chopped parsley, handful of mint leaves, 2 Tbsp finely diced tomatoes, 2 tbsp finely diced red, yellow or orange pepper. 4-5 olives.
    For garnish: 4-5 tbsp olive oil. Choice of vegetables: 2 radishes thinly sliced, 2 Tbsp diced red onions, 2 Tbsp finely chopped parsley, han…
  • For the *cooked chickpeas you have the choice of using canned chickpeas (preferably low salt). OR soak dry chickpeas for 12 hours then cook them for 2 hours or until tender to touch. Cool in fridge prior to making the recipe.

  • Alternatives: Use peanut butter or almond butter if you can't find Tahini. Tahini is sesame paste and can be easily purchased online. (Amazon)

Hi there. My name is Nada which is Arabic for “dew on the morning roses.”
I’m a professionally trained chef who grew up in Lebanon. I have been teaching cooking classes for over 15 years and although I am professionally trained; worked too many private events, many kitchens, I always like to teach my Lebanese cooking classes with authenticity, the way mom taught me how to.
I grew up watching my mother prepare meals for her family with patience and love. She taught me the fundamentals of fresh ingredients, traditional flavour combinations, the infusion of love in all things and how to execute a recipe with passion and love.

Nada's hummus class is more than a cooking class - it's a personal tour of her youth in Lebanon. I highly recommend this experience! And also, the hummus is super, super tasty. I never have to buy hummus from the store again.
