COVID-19 UPDATE: We're very concerned for your safety, so we've reduced our group sizes to an ultra-small group of 5 people max. You can also book our private tour option - available for groups as small as 2 people!

EXPERIENCE:

My team and I have been hosting food tours for 9 years and this is the worst we've seen. But Kensington Market, like it's immigrant heritage, is full of survivors. Let's support them together! We may not be able to travel internationally, but still we'll travel:

1. Around the world, locally - we'll sample a variety of cuisine from various cultures in the multi-cultural enclave of Kensington Market, including a stop in Chinatown. Come with an appetite, as you'll have enough samples for lunch!

2. Through time - we'll trace the history of the market from its origins as a Jewish market to hip neighbourhood to the current coronavirus challenges, weaved through the stories of the stores we visit, from Alan's cafe to Aunty's bakery.

3. Through perspectives - we've got the insider's edge, from special foods made just for our group, to secret photo spots in the market. YOU will become an insider too!

Plus, taste the famous Toronto Truffle (Toffle™), an exclusive dessert invented by us. Inspired by the flavours of Toronto and Canada, the Toffle is a decadent cross between a maple butter tart and a chocolate truffle. Only available here!

I love food and travel, and have been running food tours in Toronto for almost a decade. I love to share this city and its amazing food culture with my fellow world travellers! This is the first tour I created for my company, and it's still my favourite. As an immigrant to Canada with a love for exploring different cultures, Kensington Market naturally became my favourite place to visit. It's been a privilege to be up close and personal with the changes in the market, from being an outdoor marketplace to a hip hood of unique eateries to today's pandemic challenges. My fellow local guides and I are excited to share with you our insider's experience of this vibrant, eclectic neighbourhood and to help protect its heritage.

I consider myself a Torontonian but have lived abroad for many years. Coming back I wanted a truly Torontonian experience. I take Covid-19 safety very serious, and Audrey was very helpful in explaining the great measures they have taken. It felt very safe, and yet I was able to fully experience the community and food. Most amazing to me was the way Audrey cares about the local community and how the virus has impacted their business. I felt like I was a part of their story by joining this tour. It was informative, passionate, and mouth-watering.

As a Torontonian, Kensington market is one of my favourite places to visit yet, my tour with Audrey highlighted some hidden gems that I've totally missed! (This experience is not just for tourists -- locals will enjoy as well!) During these Covid-19 times, it was important for me to feel safe while exploring. All proper precautions such as masks, sanitizer and social distancing were employed. I enjoyed the bites at each of our stops while learning more about the history that has built up Kensington market to be such a diverse and beloved neighbourhood. Audrey is a great storyteller that puts you at ease with her friendliness and kindness. There's some great spots for some photos including a sweeping view of the city with the iconic shot of the CN Tower. The food is also very photogenic (and tasty!) for all foodies out there! The walk is at a relaxed pace so you can really take it all in. Lastly, there's a sweet treat at the end with the TO.ffle that's unique to the tour. Delicious! I would recommend this tour for locals and tourists looking for a good and safe time especially during this pandemic.

Loved it!! The boy and I were going a bit stir crazy staying in for covid so we decided to go out and discover our city. We were pleasantly surprised! Learned lots about the history of Kensington and the tour guide was lovely. Also social isolation was respected so we felt very safe. Thank you!

It was an amazing experience with the right types of foods picked out for us to try. Our host was personable and knowledgeable on the area. Everyone at the places we stopped at were friendly and helpful. I would definitely do this tour again, looking forward to bringing my boyfriend to experience what I did.

Really enjoyed this tour! Laid back and casual. Lots of interesting history and trivia about Kensington Market and Toronto in general. I’m gluten free and there was food available for me to sample at most of the stops (let them know ahead of time). When there wasn’t it was fine because I was so full! Highly recommend!
