Do you work all day, and then feel so exhausted that the only thing you want to do is watch Netflix? Do you implement intense work/health/life-overhauls, but then feel overwhelmed and abandon your plan?

In this online experience, Liz teaches and inspires participants how to strategically integrate rest for better performance and wellbeing.

Armed with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology, a passion for learning all things high performance, and a 17 years of experience throwing javelin for Team Canada, Liz loves helping others to function at their highest capacity!

Together you'll go through a range of pre-emtive and reactive rest and recovery strategies including:
- How to feel GOOD while taking a break (and not secretly berating yourself for being "lazy")
- How to get a more effective night's sleep (and how to get out of that awful habit of watching tv to fall asleep)
- Breakfast dos and don'ts
- How to prevent and clear mid-day brain fog

Guests should have a pen and paper, or their prefered note taking device. The "Art of Recovery Checklist" will given out after the experience.

This hour-long online experience is great for team building and large groups, and a great follow up event to Win The Morning!

I have the most incredible (and strange) job: I throw the javelin for a living. I’ve represented Canada for 17 years including at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. One of my favorite parts of this journey has been the opportunity to continuously learn and apply new information, habits, and activities that unlock our incredible human potential.

Earlier in my career, my mantra was " I will NEVER be outworked!". Although this was useful for a while, eventually it lead to mistakes, injuries, burnout, and loss of love for my sport.

Through several humbling and revelatory experiences, I learned that rest was integral to becoming my best and longevity in high-performance. "All gains are made in recovery" and "Work smarter instead of harder" are two of the guiding principles of how I train and work.

Liz spoke to our team at work as a team building experience. We were all impressed with her knowledge of the topics, practical ideas to implement in our daily lives, and her clear and up beat presentation style. We really enjoyed this session! If you’re on the fence about booking, I highly encourage you to do so!

while some of this may feel like common sense to a lot of people, Liz walks through her steps with a lot of experience and science-backing which helps to better understand the hows and whys for the importance of recovery or maintaining good habits for longterm health. Liz was super responsive and great to work with on framing the talk so it would be most relevant for our team/experience.

Liz is a phenomenal speaker who really knows her fitness and nutrition facts. She was easy to work with leading up to the event, even accommodating our request to use a different virtual platform. She was candid and conversational with our audience. Definitely recommend her session!
