Ce que vous allez faire
We start our tour with a walk through the streets of our small town Vrboska. Because of the small bridges connecting its two parts it is also known as Little Venice. During the walk you are introduced to the history of architecture, industry and the specific way of life. Visiting the local fishermen museum is included in the tour, but you will also have the opportunity to visit the oldest church and the towns signature medieval fort. After an informative tour of the town we start our walk to the ancient Greek agricultural fields that are today covered with medicinal herbs, flowers and vineyards. There you will have the opportunity to get in touch with local nature, learn about the application of those herbs and bring some of them with you of course. Remember - these plants have been used by locals for centuries and there are also ancient Greek and Roman reciepes that confirm the various possible uses for each plant. Learning about history and nature while walking can be exhausting and that's why we finish our tour with the visit to my humble family home where you will be able to try our homemade juices, teas and honey with a small snack from our vegetable garden (FOR FREE).
Ce qui est inclus
Local snacks Salted sardines/GMO-free vegetables from our green garden/ goat cheese and/or local bacon
Honey, juices, tea Made from the medicinal plants you will get to know.
As a local historian, photographer and long time beekeeper I have cultivated knowledge of both the place I grew up in and the nature surrounding our little town. My family has a long tradition of beekeeping and as such we are well informed about the quality and effectivnes of various medicinal herbs that we use in our everyday life. I have worked as a local tour guide for my own travel agency and as a custodian of Vrboska fishermen museum for nearly 20 years. If you are looking for someone who has hands on experience with nature and local history I would be happy to share it all with you.

Fortress-Church of Saint Mary represents a religious stronghold of the local populace with some very interesting and sometimes paranormal stories surrounding it. Fishermen museum is a tribute to the industry that pushed inovation and exploration while providing the foundation for the very existance of this little town. Ancient Greek agricultural fields that expand for miles bear witness to the hard working culture that is still alive.
