An afternoon visiting the sanctuary is time well-spent and a terrific experience for you or for the whole family. Promised Land's rescued farm friends love visitors as much as you’ll love meeting them! You will be touched by the animals' stories and have your own unforgettable stories to tell about your time spent with them.

Set on a century farm, amidst the rolling hills and hardwood forests of rural Northumberland County, this 1-hour experience will bring you up-close and personal with our rescued farm family. Hands-on play and grooming sessions with the horses and any other animal who feels like getting some extra love.

• Get your friends and family involved!
• Organize a day trip and bring a plant-based picnic to enjoy on our scenic grounds
• Bond with co-workers by bringing the whole office out for a visit
• Forward information about our tours to everyone on your contact list

Finally, we love dogs and have four of our own, but please leave yours at home.

Weather permitting, we'll take the horses, dogs and whoever else wants to tag along (goats? pigs?) for a walk through the wooded trails. The entire experience will take about an hour.

We visited Kat and her farm with our kids and we were really excited about the whole experience. The farm is beautiful and the animals seemed really happy there. We could interact with very friendly pigs, dogs, some ducks and a goat. Harmony and tranquility best describe the area. We took a magnificent horse for a nice walk in the forest and the kids loved it! Everything was nice and we wished we could have stayed for the whole day and just enjoy nature and animals. Thank you Kat for your time and patience! Hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our visit to the sanctuary. We saw several kinds of rescued farm animals, and Kat told us a bit about each one’s history. We took a nice trail walk through the forest with a horse and dogs (the goat opted out!). My kids particularly loved the pot-bellies pigs, horses and dogs (especially Tango!). I hope they left the excursion with a better understanding of why you shouldn’t buy an animal on a whim, and the level of care that animals require and deserve.

We had a wonderful time meeting all the friendly animals and hearing their stories. Thank you both for a great tour! Our kids really enjoyed the hike with the horses.

The sanctuary was a delight. The location was easy to find. The farm was an oasis of serenity in our otherwise noisy lives. Kat was friendly, knowledgeable and encouraged you to interact with the animals. It was a rare opportunity for this city gal to interact with farm animals. The animals are well cared for and greatly loved by Kat. The animals all have their own charming personalities; some are exuberant ( I'm talking to you, Billy), others timid, some curious, some charming ( sweet Taco) and some sassy ( yes, that's you, Gus). It was a lovely excursion and I would do it again!

This was a wonderful experience. Kat's property is stunning, with forest and rolling hills surrounding the farm. There are so many different animals and there's an opportunity to interact with all of them. Kat is extremely knowledgeable and was happy to answer all of our questions. The walk in the woods with some of the animals was quite special, even when Gus the goat would come running down the hill to catch up with us. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves animals and wants to be up close and personal.

Surprised my girlfriend with a trip here and she loved it. We made some new animal friends. We did not know that goats could act like dogs. Kat is very knowledgable about her animals and really cares for them and treats them well. Highly recommend to anyone that likes animals.
