Au programme

We will first stop by in various local artisans chocolate shops, where you will try amazing samples.

Crunchy hazelnut, dark ganache, salted butter caramel, as well as ginger, tea, coffee, saffron or chili... Forget what you already know, because you’re going to be surprised!

Unique to Brussels, the chocolatiers are always experimenting with new flavors, textures and cocoa bean types.

The second part is a Belgian Beer tasting session that will take you to bars and taverns around Grand Place. It's a great way to discover small taverns and mix with locals. The places we go to are hidden small gems and are not easy to find at all. Like one of the oldest taverns in town or a small bar/puppet theatre.

You will sample beers that are all completely different and all specific to Belgium.

Abbey beers, Trappists, Lambics, Krieks, Belgian IPAs, Triple Blonds, Double Browns... you name it! We focus only on local and craft beers. No Leffe or a Stella Artois here ;)

During the tour, you will also learn about the city history, discover hidden corners and wander off the beaten path.

We want you to experience the real Brussels, away from the tourists traps and the Delirium bar!

My name is Mary, I am a foodie, writer, chocolate snob and beer specialist.
I have been a tour guide since 2014 and I live in the city center of Brussels.
I now have a team of good friends with me who like to share their passion for Belgium:
Julie : Franco-Canadian singer and songwriter who could kill for bacon!
Daniel: Spanish actor, literally the nicest guy on the planet and he rocks bow ties!
Baptiste: Belgian roadie and singer (screamer, really) with a Jamaican accent...
And some other people who help us once in a while ;)

Fantastic tour with Mary. Worth the Money. You can taste around 12 high class chocolates and learn about the topic and history. On top you get a walking tour through all sites and taste 6 totally different rare beers. Absolutely amazing and it gave us a different view on Brussels

This tour surpassed all of our expectations. To be honest we were very hesitant to take the tour because it seemed like there were quite a few tours and this one was a bit pricey. We ended up deciding to give it a shot because of their amazing reviews and my goodness did they deserve those reviews! Our guide was incredible and super personal. She was knowledgable about both beer and chocolates but also the city as a whole. We made friends, ate ay more chocolate than we expected and even as a person who doesn't love beer we enjoyed every part of it! If you only have a day in Brussels like we did, this is the tour to take!

We’ve done a lot of tours in a lot of places and this hands down was the best one we’ve been on. It was a perfect blend of trying new beers/chocolate and learning about Brussels in a fun and interesting way. We toured during Covid times and they still managed to make it a wonderful experience and we left feeling like we weren’t missing anything because of the pandemic. Would definitely recommend! 100% worth the money!

This tour was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Julie, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. It felt like spending a few hours with an old friend. Julie was super personable, light-hearted, full of jokes, and made everyone feel so welcomed and comfortable. The tour itself was also fantastic and a great value. We tried a ton of chocolates and washed it all down with some really great beers! Julie did an amazing job of teaching us about what we were eating and drinking without being too detailed, the balance was great. She was also genuinely interested in getting to know us and the others on the tour, which helped lighten the mood and bring everyone together. If you’re ever in Brussels, I would highly recommend this tour as a must-do!

This tour with Julie was fantastic! Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip in Brussels short but we were still able to squeeze this tour in. I'm glad we were able to, because we still left Brussels feeling like we had a sense of the city, some of its history, and a better understanding of the popularity behind beer and chocolates in Brussels. We hung out in some back alley bars we wouldn't have found on our own otherwise. Julie, Mary, and team have clearly vetted and identified the best chocolate shops in town. It made me happy not to be sucked in to the touristy, mass-produced shops and I left with a new appreciation for chocolate :) We had so much fun with Julie and the other guests. Highly recommended!

Fantastic tour to some great hidden bars and world class chocolatiers. Definitely a great tour to get to see the layer of Brussels under the typical tourist traps.
