This easy-going ride is best for those looking to explore beyond the downtown core and deeper into the hip multicultural neighbourhoods Toronto is famous for. I've designed it to feel like a casual ride with a local friend. We even keep the groups sizes small for a more intimate, personalized experience.

Get a feel for the local lifestyle of Toronto's west side and discover why Canada's largest metropolis is such a livable city. See tons of street art, park after park, and unique homes & apartments. We ride the waterfront for beautiful lake views, see home hidden beaches (yay summer!), and quiet streets & lanes.

If you've never taken a bike tour before, you are more than welcome. We stop every 10-15 min or so to hear local stories & info, check out public art, or snap photos. We'll take a break along the way and offer you a coffee, craft beer, or other non alcoholic refreshment. On nice days we can even enjoy our drinks in a chill park called Dufferin Grove.

Everyone has been loving our Norco Scene bikes - they are super comfortable and so much fun to ride - this is now my own personal bike to ride around Toronto!

You are definitely going to discover many spots to return to: cafes, eateries, and night spots you will want to return to. We can see so much on a bike in a short time.
Other things to note
Arrive 15-20 min before the start of the tour to get setup on your bike. As long as you know how to ride a bike and are comfortable doing so in an urban environment, you'll be fine! No flip flops : )

We are Shea & Diego and we'd like to introduce you to our company Fitz Tours. We offer 2 highly-rated experiences led by ourselves and the "Fitz Family" - this means you may be helped out by Veronique or Christian and hosted by Nathan or Victoria! They both have unique, friendly characters and are world travellers themselves.

We've all combined our passion and knowledge to offer top-notch bike & experiences here in Toronto - the kind we look for when we go traveling ourselves. We keep the groups small, the content upbeat, and hope you leave feeling like you were hosted by a 'friend for the day' - or longer.

We'll show you the best art, architecture, urban development, nature, and local events & festivals, but we also aren't afraid to show you the grit, imperfections, and realities of what living in Toronto is like!

Le lieu

Toronto's west side Highlights! We begin in The Annex and cross Little Portugal and Little Italy to arrive at the hip yet family friendly Trinity Bellwoods Park.

Down on the Waterfront, we ride a loop of the new local-favourite Trillium Park, then explore Ontario Place: a former theme park built on 3 artificial islands.

Next are re-developed factories of Liberty Village, West Queen West, Ossington Ave, and either a bike cafe or craft Brewery!

Our tour guide was excellent & really provided a tailored experience based on our interests! Easy route to ride for someone completely new to biking, safe and scenic locations, and really super guy who looked after us for the day. Only note for improvement is communication with the organizer of this event — they provided either very slow responses, or no response to questions at all. Especially since THEY asked US to reschedule. Not impressed leading up to the event, I was worried it would be a disaster. Thankfully, the Toronto-based guide was stellar, and I would highly recommend the experience itself!

Do it. By far the best 3 hours I spent in Toronto. Forget the hop off buses. You can see all that stuff anytime. If you want to really own about Toronto, this is the experience for you.

The Hoods & Hidden Gems bike tour was a fantastic experience and a highlight of my vacation! Nathan was an excellent and funny guide and shared a lot of knowledge about the neighborhoods and city. We biked through beautiful residential and popular commercial neighborhoods and biked along the lakefront. It was a great way to see another part of the city. We also stopped at a great cafe that served refreshing fresh juice. The bike was extremely comfy. I highly recommend the tour!

Nathan was great and super easy to chat with while biking from location to location. Loved the tour! It’s always nice to see where people actually live when visiting cities instead of just focusing on the main downtown/tourist areas. Plus, the bikes were super comfortable and the weather was perfect.

Our guide, Nathan, was fantastic. His energy and enthusiasm about the city was great. From the beginning to the end we felt at home with him like we were out with friends. Our group was small, only 4, so that made interaction more personal. We went on a really cool ride off the beaten path and got to see the city from different angles while avoiding the extreme bustle of downtown. Nathan showed us how biking has become an integral part of Toronto transportation. He bought us beers towards the end and we drank on a park like old pals. This was my first Airbnb experience and I highly recommend it.
