Sampuru (sample food) is plastic food that is seen on display in restaurants throughout Japan. It's durable, looks realistic, and makes for a unique and inventive souvenir. I am a certified instructor of Fake Food Art. I'll teach you how to mold resin to create a sample that looks so good you'll want to eat it. In this work shop, you can create 4pieces of Sushi magnets or another Japanese delicacy.

If you would like to join a class for a team building, I will arrange the class for you. Please feel free to ask me. You can share a great memory with your coworkers !!

This was an incredible experience! The time allotted was just perfect. Enough to allow you to slow down and focus on the art, but not too much that it would take your whole day. Mika was fun and relaxed, so it was comfortable and yet still productive! I would recommend this to anyone! Even if you're not into art, it's a great new thing to try!

I've always wanted to take a sample food making class so I was so happy to find this experience on AirBnB. Mika is wonderful; very friendly, communicative, and knowledgeable in her field. She makes the process easy to follow step by step. I wanted to make magnets out of the sushi pieces so she gave me magnets I can attach to the pieces. You can find fake food magnets in souvenir shops all around Japan but none of them look as good as the ones I made with Mika!

Fun, interesting, & relaxing. After a few days as first time tourists in Japan, we took a few hours to make game sushi with Mika and it was even more fun than we imagined! She is a wonderful host, very friendly and warm. We hope to come back to Tokyo, and if we do we'll do this again as well.

Mika was the most friendly and helpful person we encountered during our trip. We had a great time getting to know her and left with some souvenirs that we proudly made ourselves! It was a very relaxing and informative experience and Mika's instructions resulted in some very professional looking fake food. She took pictures of us at work and sent them to me afterwards. Mika also made a call on our behalf to an omurice restaurant to check if they were open after I asked for her omurice restaurant recommendations. Overall, we highly recommend this experience!
