We have social distancing! According to the Director of Infectious Disease at the University of Texas at San Antonio, one of the best things you can do is go outside where air is circulating, you are not cramped with crowds and you can get some sun and fresh air. Come float among the trees with us. Experience great views of downtown neighborhoods and come back with a San Antonio memory most don't have. Downtown's San Antonio River is calm and tranquil making it a perfect tour for beginners and families. Brad will meet you at 100 E. Guenther (across the street from the San Antonio River Authority) where you will gear up and put in. Street parking is available. Grab your jacket and let's experience a quiet stretch of the San Antonio Riverwalk that most don't see.
Other things to note
Previous experience is not required. You may get slightly wet from paddle drips and water that can sneak into the kayak. There are no public restrooms available. Kayaks are rated for up to 250 lbs.

My husband, Brad and I discovered this fun and unique route along the San Antonio Riverwalk three years ago and just knew visitors would enjoy it too! Brad has acquired a fleet of kayaks ready to share this tree-lined section of the San Antonio River with those who want to experience downtown San Antonio on a paddling trail. We are kayaking now. Le lieu
The King William Paddling Trail of the San Antonio Riverwalk. This is the southern stretch of the San Antonio River in downtown San Antonio. The trail flows between two dams on either side of the put in-spot. You can paddle to both dams and then turn around to return. It is approximately 1 hour round-trip.

It was nice to meet Brad and have everything set and waiting for us, and we had a last minute change of plans and our dogs were allowed to come along. Brad was super flexibke and patient trying to get our dogs comfortable in the water, and although my big dog wasnt able to stay in the kayak, he gave us a chamce to kayak anyways. I highly highly recommend trying this experience out, it was our first time kayaking and Brad was such a genuinly nice person. We will be doing this again!

Definitely an experience that you do not want to miss. Such a unique way to take in the views of the scenery and wildlife along the San Antonio River, while actually floating/paddling down the river. For us beginners, the instructions provided were simple and in no time we felt like professionals. Fortunately the waters are calm, which further aided in the ease of this adventure. Thank you both so much.
