Ce que vous allez faire
We will begin our day at the Food Ever Visitors Center next to Tsuruoka Station. From there we will transfer to Gyokusenji Temple. This is an ancient Japanese Buddhist Temple that is over 700 years old with an incredible diversity of beautiful rooms and exterior gardens to explore. It even features a large Japanese garden that has been designated as a national treasure of Japan! Here we will sample our kimono collection and find the perfect fit and a design that you like. Then we will guide you around the temple grounds where Derek will take photos of you or your group. After this enjoy a Japanese tea ceremony by the garden in a beautiful room that has a wide open view. You will get to enjoy traditional tea with the monks in your kimono and can even enjoy it out in the garden as an exclusive service! Following this I would be happy to take you to a traditional Japanese restaurant that is over 250 years old to enjoy a delicious banquet meal together. We will offer you special dishes that you do not normally offer. This is will be an extra 4,000 yen. If not though, we can return to the station or to your hotel!
My name is Mami Ito and I am a wedding planner who organizes traditional Japanese weddings here in Sakata City. This is my tenth year coordinating weddings. I am also an expert in kimono dressing and have coordinated and fit over 500 customers to date. I have my own collection of traditional kimono and yukata and have many beautiful locations where I take my customers to take stunning portrait photos in traditional Japanese scenery. I will be leading this experience with Derek Yamashita, another local host here in Yamagata. He is a photographer.
