I'm a local tour guide for 6+ years in Miami, creating food tours, cultural and architecture tours. The Miami melting pot still fascinates me every day, with all the diversity of food and cultures available to explore. The authentic Miami experience.
Not every tour is really representing you the Real-Deal in Miami. My tours are known for having a small group experience and learning the real local facts and stories.
I work on finding all the best local and family-owned restaurants that shaped the local food scene and combine it with Cuban-American cultural insights and habits.

It was nice and enjoyable. Be prepared to listen to the culture and story. My favorite part was the cigar shop, it was calm and nice environment. Be prepared to eat also cause there was plenty to go around.

Really enjoyed the variety of stops on the tour. The tour was a good mix of history, culture and food. I wasn’t quite as full as some of the other reviewers but it was a comfortable amount of food. Faruk is very fun, laid back and knowledgable.

Food was decent, but I did not learn much about Cuba and Cuban culture. Sometimes the host was zoning out doing things on his phone for minutes. Maybe there was an emergency, I don't know, but it did not feel the guide had his full attention on the group

Not really what I expected. A friend referred this tour because they got decent food. Farouk was being kinda depressing. Had to go into the history of Cuba. Would be understandable if I was in Cuba but last I checked I was in Miami. Also went into a long rant about finances. Again, I don’t think I needed to hear this from a tour guide. One thing I liked about the tour guide though was the cigar shop he showed us. I really liked their selections

Come hungry and be on time- other vendors are lined up based on a schedule so your food is ready to go. Faruk was super great and knowledgeable and it was great to see the balance of outsider and insider perspectives he's gathered from being a part of the community. Faruk did a great job of translating when needed and also sitting back for others to share their own story when able. I've been disappointed with expat experiences being hyper colonized and this is absolutely not the case- Faruk's experience was personal and thoughtful to the diverse experiences of the area. We even went back to some of our toured spots for more time after the tour.

Faruk was very knowledgeable and energetic. He introduced us to some of the locals. The food was excellent. I ended up returning to one place we went to and the food was my favorite meal of my trip. Good selection of spots in Little Havana.
