I have been hosting tours for over 7 years. I specialize in St. Louis #1 Cemetery. As a native of New Orleans, I grew up just blocks from the cemetery. I know the history of some of its famous occupants. The burial process alone is fascinating.

Tours will meet at 411 N. Rampart Street, in front of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, also know as St. Jude Church. We will explore the history of the church, which was established in 1826 as a mortuary for the victims of yellow fever. We will visit the cemetery wall vaults, the gravesites of Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, future gravesite of Nicholas Cage, the Italian Society Tomb, the gravesite of Bernard de Marigny and the Musician’s tomb. Guest will learn the burial process and our burial tradition dating back to the 1740’s.
