Au programme

Have you been looking to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Vancouver? Have you been dreaming of temperate rain forests, waterfalls and rope suspension bridges? Are you interested in learning about our unique culture and land? Come along on an adventure the whole family can enjoy! Let me show you the beauty of Vancouver as the beautiful paradise that made it famous world wide.
- Meet at Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre
- Walk down 45 metres (150 feet) from the Ecology Centre to the Twin Falls Bridge
- Hike up 90 meters (300 feet) to the Lynn Canyon Plat

We will meet at the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre, at the mouth of Lynn Canyon. We'll learn about the area around us—stopping for photos—cross a suspension bridge, walk past a naturally occurring pool and end where we started! Once you're ready we will head back down through the diverse array of ecosystems where you can enjoy refreshments and I can answer any questions you may have.

The hike is dependent on weather and is open to hikers of all skills and ability levels. It is a 2.3 km round trip that requires medium exertion but can be very slippery when it rains.

I've been leading hikes for 10 years and am the co-founder of InstaHikes! Photo Adventures. My goal is to let nature inspire through immersion and education so that together, we can create a world where we all live to protect our environment.

My tours include guided hikes, several photo shoots and lessons on your DSLR or smartphone (composition as well as settings like depth of field, shutter speed, exposure, etc). I'll send you a complimentary photos after the tour.

I have been fortunate enough to live and work in this beautiful city, in addition to being blessed with the ability and reach to share my passion with others through photography, cinematography and shared research through travel guides.

Matt’s hiking experience was awesome! Coming from a city person he had a lot of knowledge of the trees and plants in the forest. He knew his way around as if the pathways had street signs. We seen waterfalls, crossed rocky rivers, walked bridges, climbed winding stairs and had an amazing experience taking in the wild side of British Columbia and North Vancouver! I would recommend to anyone who is new to hiking and would like to get a feel for what it has to offer!

Matt was an engaging host who took a small group of us (3 people plus himself) on some lesser-known trails through the beautiful Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver. He consistently checked in with the group and adapted the tour to our requests. This tour is an ideal way to see one of Vancouver's most gorgeous attractions with a local who can guide you through the rainforest with more context than you'd have doing the same tour on your own. Highly recommended!

Matt is so friendly and helped me to enjoy the experience rather than being on my own. We made jokes and talk about ourselves along the walking, so I enjoyed a lot the landscape and I had great time. We were fortunate because there weren't many people and we could take photos and take our time.
