You will immerse yourself into the natural wonder of an organic vineyard. We will make a tour along grape rows, where you will grasp how the plant grows and interacts with the environment to produce grapes. In particular, you will understand the grapevine vital sap flow: how to identify and preserve it. We will see surrounding natural vegetation (plants and flower) and you will check how important it is to provide a natural balance, preventing the spreading of parassitism and plant diseases. There are also honeybees in the property, and plenty of other insects. You will also see different types of birds (also very important to control insects) and wild animals (deers, hares). Later on, you will step into the shoes of a winegrower. You will be pruning, selecting buds, mowing, monitoring insects together, watering, tying the vine shoots, etc., according to the timing of the season. Finally, you will experience the joy to focus on simple actions and disconnect yourself from the city routine. At any time, you can stop, you can ask, look, take a picture, or simply breath fresh air. You decide at what pace you would like to go!
I am an agronomist and a farmer with professional education and background field experience in Italy, Jordan, Sudan, Zambia, Australia, Belize, Greece, France and USA. My work is to develop and implement innovative, environmental friendly agricultural production systems using a tailor-made mix of different techniques, including agro-forestry, no-till farming, cover crop rotations, permaculture. My goal is to promote biodiversity in agro-ecological systems and to increase their sustainability at three levels: economy for the farmer, health for the consumer, resource use efficiency for the environment. Since 2017, I manage a small organic vineyard in the Beric Hills, few km south of Vicenza, my hometown. Here, surrounded by the woods, plenty of animals, birds and insects interact with plants, soil and weather to produce amazing wines.

We will stay in the vineyard, outdoor in the open-air. It is a private property, not far from Monte Berico, Vicenza. It is quite a wild area, with no buildings and no toilets. We will walk in the fields and we will be subject to weather conditions: wind, sun, ranging temperatures and some insects. In case of heavy rains, we might cancel and postpone the experience.
