Ce que vous allez faire
The beautiful nature of Los Angeles, and the rich iconic history of Hollywood come together as we meet in the Hollywood Hills. Our start at a famous architectural gem will set us off into the heart of Griffith Park near the well-known Griffith Park Observatory. Past the observatory we will continue up the hillside as we watch the sun set over the Los Angeles cityscape. As everyone knows, sunset is the “magic hour” and I know all the best places to get the perfect photo, including a photo with the Hollywood Sign in the background. You will learn history about the park and the surrounding area and, as an herbalist, I can share some info about some of the local plants and their historical uses. At the top we will witness the city light up as the sun goes down completely. Quite often I see shooting stars and the moon can be quite spectacular glowing over the city. It’s a 360 degree view and it’s magnificent. Hiking down in the dark is a completely different experience and it’s the perfect way to finish the walk and then continue out into the world for the rest of the evening.

I’ve lived in Los Angeles for over 7 years now and as an avid hiker and nature lover I’ve come to know this park and especially this trial, like an old friend. This trail is my favorite, and at sunset you will witness the beautiful nature of this city nestled in the Hollywood Hills were the land carries a tangible iconic history. I am an herbalist with an Ayurvedic Medicine degree and a filmmaker allowing me to facilitate an experience leaving you with amazing photo memories to share along with some info about the history of this area and knowledge about the medicinal plants growing in the park. I’ve hiked all over the world and have been taking people into nature for over a decade. I love sharing this trail and this experience with people.

We will start at the famous Frank Lloyd Wright Ennis house then continue through a secret entrance into the park. It will only take about 10 min to reach the Observatory where we will spend a short time. Past the observatory is the beautiful mountain we will climb as the sun sets. At the peak you will get a 360 degree view of the cityscape as it lights up for the night and we will spend some time stargazing. Hiking down in the dark is magical.
