Discover Appia & take pictures of Rome's nature and history

All roads lead to Rome! If Roman roads are so famous the Ancient Appian Way is the Queen of the Roman Roads and you'll see it exactly as it was 2000 years ago. First we will meet at the Bar and have a coffee before we start. Than we'll bike through a park, to the most ancient Roman road, the Appian Way, with glimpses of rare beauty, and get to the ancient Roman Aqueducts immersed in typical Mediterranean nature. The ride is relaxing, with many stops, the pace is slow, you get to see Rome off the beaten path, enjoying the surprising beauty of mother nature and ancient ruins, just a few kilometers apart from the hustle and bustle of the city center. So GET READY TO RIDE FOR ALMOST 15 KM (10 MILES), through some of the city’s most unique sightseeing, discover hidden spots in nature, see some of the unknown gems of Rome and get back to your place with perfect pictures. During the ride you'll also taste typical flavours of a Roman appetizer.

This was such a great experience, especially if you want to get out of the city central. I will say the path is very old, so expect bumps and rocks and roots. So, maybe not for those who are not comfortable on a bike. It was truly a special place where you learn so much about the history of the Roman Empire and how they came and went.

This is a fantastic experience. It is a historical tour of ancient Rome as well as a bike ride. It’s wonderful to be on a bike and the places Sergio took us to were magical as well as full of history. Sergio is very very knowledgable and full of really insightful information. Plus fun. Light hearted but very interesting. Sergio is a very nice unique person and is passionate about this tour which made it something really special. It’s not a touristy area we went to but so full of Roman history. I can’t recommend it enough.

Great to see Rome off the beaten track. Sergio took us to some great locations we would have never found on our own. As keen cyclists at home, this was a great way to spend the day.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Cycling is such a pleasant way to move around and, who knew, you can cycle through the middle of the country side, right in Rome. The country side is breathtaking, the ancient ruins are all around you, and there are gorgeous country villas and a very friendly herd of goats! We sat and cooled our feet in a pool made by Roman engineers....This really is something one must do.
