  • À la rencontre des habitants du bidonville de Kibera
See Kibera as only a local could and experience the real Kibera through the lense of hope. We’ll meet the dreamers creating a difference in Kibera through their mission-driven, small businesses. There are 5 stops on our journey... 1. Moses's House - I'll start by inviting you into my house, to tell you my story, from growing up in Kibera through starting my own tour company with a mission. From there we’ll walk the railroad tracks of Kibera, meeting the people. 2. The Kibera Organization - We'll meet Edu who provides microloans for female-owned small businesses. Women’s Craft Center - We’ll meet Rosemary who set up a workshop for women living with HIV. Collectively they remove the stigma of HIV by employing women with HIV to create crafts. 5. Master's Touch Bakery - At the finale of our tour, we’ll meet Nancy for coffee & fresh baked goods. Nancy will relate her story of starting a business as a single mother and the adversities women face starting a business in Kenya. +254 715184389 Other things to note Our meeting location will be the parking lot of Nakumatt Prestige, at the giant coca cola bottle. • NAI NAMI : nos rues, nos histoires
We offer an inspirational "off-the-beaten-track" experience of Nairobi, guided by youth from slums who raised themselves on the streets of Nairobi City Centre. During a personal, one-on-one, 3-hours walking tour in Downtown, you will experience the city centre through the eyes of street children. Get the real insights into their way of life, get captivated by their life stories and ghetto-energy, learn from their street skills, ask all your questions, shop at local markets, bargain with your guides to pay a local price, eat street food, have tea with mechanics, see street art among and last but not least become friends with them. Social Impact: By booking a Nai Nami Tour you give disadvantaged youth from slums an opportunity to earn a regular income and inspire them as a role model. Other things to note Carry your passport copy and wear good shoes (no sandals or high heels), it's a walking tour!

  • Aperçu de la culture et des traditions kényanes
Kenya is a beautiful country that has a lot more to offer than the usual Safari, Sun and Sand. We are a diverse country with 44 Ethnic Groups each with its own unique culture, way of life and even dialect. Through my experience, I will share more insight on the people, the culture, the way of life of different groupings in the country. I will also help clear any misconceptions out there, and using images and stories help you gather more information about Kenya. At the end of this experience, you will feel like you have gathered much information about the people, the culture and a few Swahili (Local Language) words. This online experience is curated for individuals, couples, families, or groups who want to explore, learn and connect. This Experience is great for team building. Book a private experience for your group. This experience is great for groups, able to host higher than indicated (100 + participants). Contact me for more booking. • A Matatu Ride in Nairobi City
Having said that the fancy Buses are not found in every bus stage in the city, we shall start by going to the stage where they are found. We have several bus stations with this kind of buses but we shall stick to Pipeline/Embakasi Bus station which has new buses on the road now and then. We shall start our itenary from 11am to 1pm when there is no much traffic on the roads. Pipeline/Embakasi bus station is right opposite the National Archives therefore you can be dropped at the national archives by your designated driver or an uber. i shall pick you up and we head right to the bus station. The buses usually queue there as passengers board. we shall have a look at all the fancy ones, take photos, get inside to have a look and even ask questions in that regard. That will take around 15min. we shall then board one of them, the best of them all and wait for it to fill up so we can ride with it around town. As we ride, if the loud music won't be too loud i shall give a brief history of the Matatus. The ride will take approximately 20 min, therefore we shall alight at some point and take another one back to the city. That will be another 20min therefore the whole experience will take about an hour. Having experienced that, we shall take a 10min walk to the iconic KICC building where we shall take some photos. Other things to note Come dressed in casual sporty.
