This was a cattleman's bunkhouse at the turn of the century. The structure is made of adobe, wood and stone and is located on the San Jacinto/Santa Rosa National Monument. It borders with the San Bernardino National Forest and is across the highway from hiking and equestrian trails. Also on the property is a public art gallery Robert Ferguson Fine Art and artists studio. The bed is either a king or 2 twins. We also have an 18ft trailer that sleeps 2 additional $98 for the length of the stay.

Le logement
If you love nature, art, healing, hiking and history this is the place for you!. It is just off the 74 as you go down into Palm Springs. In the back of the property is a well maintained sunbathing area with a jacuzzi and steam sauna that overlook Santa Rosa Mountain and has great star viewing at night. The bed is a trundle that pulls out to a king or two twin size beds. There is an espresso machine with cups and coffee supplied. Within walking distance are the Sawmill and Santa Rosa biking and hiking trails that will take you to the top of Santa Rosa Mountain and just down the road is a wonderful native american educational trail with a spectacular lookout. Also, an endless supply of clean mountain drinking spring water. The spa has dead sea salts and is kept at a temp of 102 degrees. The sauna has aromatherapy as well.

The Trailer
We also have a trailer for our guests on the property. It is an additional amenity for a fee of $98 per stay. We do not list it separately as we only allow one reservation on the property at any given time. It sits facing the national forest and has more a secluded "one with nature" feel. It can be added on to sleep two guests or as an addition to a current reservation for as many nights as you like.

It is an 18ft Wildwood. It has air conditioning, heating. running water hot and cold, double bed with 10" memory foam mattress, espresso machine. drip grind pot, coffee, continental breakfast, outside seating area, fridge/freezer and pots/dishes.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests have access to the back of the 1/2 acre property with jacuzzi and sauna leading into the national forest and seating areas around the casita that have views of the mountains. Door has an entry code. Parking is next to the casita.

Autres remarques
For weather updates look up Pinyon Pines and Accuweather. We are 1000 ft lower than Mountain Center. Only Verizon has reach here. There is full Internet access. Directions can only be gotten with GGLE maps. Other applications will take you to the wrong place. The door is a bit low as people were 6 inches shorter back then but there is plenty of headroom on the inside. The king size bed does take up a lot of space so it should only be folded out when sleeping. A continental breakfast is included with beakfast rolls, friut and orange juce.

Mountain Center, Californie, États-Unis

This is a historical neighborhood. Established in the 1930s. The area was used for B Western movies. John Wayne's grandson is just two doors away. General Patton lived a few doors away. The area was occupied by the Cahilla Native Americans.
