Le logement
This home is on one level, but there are a few stairs at the entry. With a park across the street and a sweet backyard holding a chicken coop and a frog pond, you'll feel like you are living the downtown dream. The house is open and bright, with a full kitchen complete with gas stove and a great assortment of dishes and pans for making yourself at home. There is a full laundry room with a washer and dryer (not shown in pics but it's there!) We love to host family gatherings and anyone relocating to the Raleigh area.
The house has one main bedroom (king bed) and a second smaller bedroom with a twin bed. There is a pull out couch in the living room.
The large kitchen has a counter-height bar and french doors overlooking the garden. While summer is amazing here, if you visit in the winter you'll love watching the birds visit the frog pond and the chickens in the coop.
This house was built around 1914 and the history of the neighborhood shows up in the additions and changes that have happened over the years. Comfortable and well-maintained, it's quirky in a good way.

The backyard has a small fire pit and there is ample furniture for hanging out in front of the flames on a cool night.
The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, knives, cutting board, coffee maker and tea kettle, baking sheets, crock pot, mixer, blender, toaster, microwave, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, full-sized sink, full-sized fridge with freezer. Bathroom has tub with shower and a removable shower head for rinsing your hair. Living room has a cable tv, pull out sofa and two chairs. Bedrooms have comfy beds and side tables with reading lights. Dining room seats 4 but we have extra chairs and an extra table if you need it. Kitchen has a bar counter with two stools, back deck has chairs and a small table. If you are interested in this for a party or event, please let us know in the booking conversation and we can help you to plan it. We love hosting events.
We do not allow smoking anywhere on the property and take this quite seriously. Please do not smoke here.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to the entire home; bedrooms, living room, dining room, bathroom, laundry and deck. The backyard is shared among three units (this house and our other airbnb units) but it's private and great for just relaxing.

There is one off-street parking space in a lot next door, but most guests just park on the street in front of the house.

Autres remarques
This house and the entire property are non-smoking. Due to allergies and excessive cleaning requirements, we prefer not to host smokers. We love to host folks who are in the process of moving to Raleigh. We are knowledgable about the area and delight in helping people get adjusted to the area. Extensively renovated in early 2017 with new appliances, furnishings and decor, this home will make you feel right at home. Traveling light? You can bring just your clothing, we include amenities like toiletries, linens, snacks and more. We have added extras like an iron and full-sized ironing board, umbrellas and even shopping bags!

This home is close to several bus lines and within walking distance of the R Line (downtown circulator bus.) If you prefer to walk, Cameron Village is 8 minutes away (library, two groceries, restaurants, shopping, ABC store, barber, bakery, ice cream, Rite Aid drug store, etc.)

Built in the nineteen-twenties, the Glenwood-Brooklyn neighborhood is filled with smaller homes painted in pastel shades, green gardens that glow with art and blooms, and a location that can't be beat.

This house is part of a two-building property and dates to 1912-14. The single-story house was always a single family residence, with the two-story building next to it starting life as a stable or garage.
The entire property (outside) is painted in a pink-and-cherry-red color scheme that is cheery and fun. The neighborhood is a mix of cottages and workman's homes, with many modernized dwellings. The area is a favorite with architects and designers and you'll notice a great number of homes with modernist touches, all scattered in between the shabby chic cottages with artfully distressed gardens.

Within walking distance of many downtown activities and close to public transportation, this neighborhood is an ideal place to base your Raleigh visit.

Within a 5 minute walk: Starbucks, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, MoJo's Burgers, Pho Pho Pho, convenience store, pharmacy, tennis courts, tattoo parlor, hair salon, McDonalds, bus stops.

Within a 10 minute walk: R-line and bus stops, grocery stores (including a 24 hour grocery store-Harris Teeter) , a great beer store, a pubic library, numerous bars, independent coffee shop (Third Place and Benelux) and restaurants, boutiques, bike store, plus Centerline Digital, Saint Mary's School, Arts Together, numerous yoga studios, cross fit boxes and at least one circus arts studio.

Within a 15-20 minute walk: Red Hat, NC Museum of Natural Science, NC Museum of History, NC State House, Convention Center, NC State main campus, William Peace University, BB&T, Progress Energy and an amazing group of restaurants and bars.

I'm a downtown Raleigh resident with a love of travel, wild places, gardens, big cities and crafts. I spend a lot of time outside, in and around downtown Raleigh, and I love to share my city with visitors. This studio apartment is used by visiting family and friends-and maybe you-to explore the city from a comfortable, convenient spot. I'm a mom of two and welcome guests traveling with children. Please message me if you have specific needs for your family. I know it can be hard to find the right place when traveling with your brood. I'm also a retail consultant, craft writer and teacher, You can find me on just about every social media platform @cynthiadeis
