Feel like a local in the Heart of Sedona, residing in a peaceful, quiet, residential neighborhood with some of the most magnificent red rock views. Le logement
The guest house is cozy, one-room studio, with extra large, fenced patio/backyard, parking space and lots of privacy, nestled in red rock country, surrounded by red rock views—perfect for star-gazing.

The guest house is packed with almost every amenity you might need. If you want to cook a light meal, use the portable, fast-cooking induction cooktop or microwave. Rice maker and pots/pans are provided. Keep in mind, it is not a full kitchen—it is a kitchenette.

The over-sized patio/yard (700+ SF) has a large table with umbrella, chairs, lounges, and portable fire pit. Sit and watch the sun rise above the red rock formations of "Devils' Thumb." Lay back and watch the sky display an array of color as the sun sets in the evening. Note: The patio has motion lights. If you want to star-gaze, turn them off at switch on outside wall in patio area. Also, a SMALL ELECTRIC GRILL is available for use while enjoying the patio. It is located in brown storage chest.

The guest house has a wall heating/AC unit. It cools or heats the area within minutes but takes time to survey the room temperature before blasting heat or cold air. It works with remote control only. You will find lots of blankets and other amenities (iron, steamer, small vacuum, backpack) in the mirrored closet.

More helpful info is in the guest house in a reference book along with hiking books, brochures, etc.

We are sensitive to those who have allergies or just prefer a non-perfumed environment. Our linens, towels, and cleaning products are fresh, unscented, and safe.

Being retired military, we have traveled all over the world. We know what it is like to stay in a "new space," so we have tried to make it comfortable for you. Please feel free to provide suggestions or contact us if you need anything during your stay.

Enjoy!

Où se situe le logement

Sedona, Arizona, États-Unis

Our guesthouse is located in a lovely, quiet, residential area just a few minutes' walking distance from Main Street Shops and Hyatt Piñon Shops. Rise early and walk to Wildflower Bread Company or get your Starbucks fix. Eat dinner, shop nearby, and walk home under the stars.

Take-in a little history at the Jordan Historical Museum or walk to a trailhead. Rent off-road or on-road bicycles. Rental locations are within 2 miles. Park your car and walk to Tlaquepague Arts & Crafts Village or Hillside Sedona. On your walk back, stop for a break at the Pump House Urban Eatery and Market, or sneak down the hill to Uptown's finest secluded French Inn on Oak Creek, L'Auberge de Sedona. A little tip--if you are too tired to walk home, you may get a free ride home from the valet! Also, Sedona has Uber drivers and a few private taxi companies.

If you want simple and "funky" -- have lunch at Sedona Memories Bakery Cafe on Jordan Road. It is about 1/4 mile walk from the guest house. Eat outside and gaze at the red rocks. Tip--one sandwich is enough for two, and if you order ahead by phone, you get free cookies with your order. The sandwich shop is only open from 10-2. Check hours online.

If you want to get away from Uptown for a different vantage, drive up the Canyon (north on 89a) for about 5 miles to Briar Batch Inn for breakfast. Reservations are recommended. Keep heading north and take a cool dip in the natural rock formations of Slide Rock Park (about 15 miles). Fee charged to enter park. A few miles south of the park is one of the most popular trailheads, West Fork. Fee charged.

Traveling a few miles south from Uptown, you will have access to more trailheads heading toward West Sedona. Lap swim or relax in our beautiful salt water community pool. Travel a few more miles (4.5 miles) to Dry Creek Road and hike in Boynton Canyon or visit Enchantment Resort.

Visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross or hike up Cathedral Rock off 179. You can visit Cathedral Rock with Red Rock Crossing off Upper Loop Road. And, of course, take a Jeep tour or visit the Grand Canyon (2.5 hours from Sedona).

Walkable Uptown Eateries:

Sedona Beer Co (brew own beer on sight), HP Cafe, Cowboy Club, Uptown Thai, Agave 89, Sound Bites, Uptown Vault, Elote’, Sedona Pizza Co, Creekside, Hideaway Country Kitchen, Wildflower Cafe, L’Auberge, and Hillside and Tlaquepaque shopping areas (a little further walk). Newest restaurant is Shorebird—short walk from guesthouse. HP Cafe and Creekside are open early for breakfast. Wildflowers Bakery opens very early.

Your options are unlimited in Sedona. We are happy to provide more information upon request.

My husband and I retired to Sedona and love watching the sun rise and set with the the red rocks. We golf, play tennis, swim, hike and walk. We could not live without the starlit nights we enjoy here.
