Le logement
Awarded "Best of Sarasota 2017" from Sarasota magazine. Designated in 2019 as "Top Guest Accommodation" by a Readers' Poll by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. For more information, check out The Reserve SRQ on the web.

This room is a furnished, non-smoking 1 BR, 1 private bath with a fireplace, dinette set, seating area, in-room refrigerator, & coffeemaker.

Stay in a piece of Sarasota history! This upstairs guest room, a 1 BR, 1 private bath is located in one of three historically significant buildings near Downtown Sarasota and the beaches. Five minutes to Downtown, 5 minute drive to Lido Key Beach, close to Siesta Key (and across the street from beautiful Sarasota Bay)! In other words, in the heart of it all.

The space features a 1 BR, 1 private BA with a small dinette set (for 2), as well as small in-room fridge. It is upstairs from our bookstore/craft beer/wine counter, but all of that usually closes by 9 pm or 10 pm, at the latest. When we have guests, we are cognizant of the noise level.

MORE ABOUT YOUR ROOM
Your room is located in our main building, above our independent bookstore, craft beer bar, and wine bar/wine retail shop. It is on the second floor of this historically significant home that was once the home of Charles Ringling (Ringling Brothers, Barnum Bailey Circus). Ascend up the beautiful wood staircase above the piano room, and you'll be able to enjoy your stay in our stately guest accommodation that includes a queen-sized bed, dinette set for two, as well as small fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker, along with traditional furniture that fits with the period of the home (1930s).

You'll have 1 private room, and 1 private bathroom with tiled shower. You can enjoy all the on-site amenities of The Reserve, or venture out to convenient, close locations downtown or across the bridge to the beaches. It's the ideal location for those who love culture, as we're close to many cultural attractions, as well as the beach lover. There is also low-cost ground transportation between our location and most points of interest downtown.

RECENT REVIEW ON THIS ROOM:
"The August Ringling Room. On a whim not knowing where to stay, I booked The Reserve to surprise my husband. What a gorgeous room over a quaint wine and craft beer bar/book store with a coffee bar on-site, all set in the old Ringling Brother’s circus homes. Joe was amazing as was Amber! So kind and accommodating! Above board. The bed was melt-in perfect. The updated ensuite bathroom, let’s just say well done!! Gorgeous local artwork on display and for sale. Live music Saturday night, we danced our tushes off! Secure type-in lock code, we felt completely secure. Beautifully lit up at night courtyard outdoor for drinks, coffee and music ...We will definitely return. Thank you..." - Lisa

ABOUT THE RESERVE SRQ
The Reserve is a unique urban gathering place, wine store, coffee/tea shop, bookstore, music venue, and meeting space in Downtown Sarasota that serves a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as fine wines, craft beers, kombuchas and light bites. Located in historically significant Ringling Buildings that also include guest accommodations, we have a great selection of curated books from bestsellers to beach reads. You can always enjoy your beverages in our beautiful courtyard, or you can take them with you. The Reserve is a special place where great conversations happen every day.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests can access the courtyard, coffee/tea shop, bookshop, wine and craft beer area, as well as a washer/dryer room.

Autres remarques
Room location: This particular rental is above (and in the same building as our wine and craft beer bar), so it could conceivably have some noise, but we close early, around 9 or 10 pm at the latest. When we have guests upstairs, we are cognizant of the noise level.

Parking is in our lot, in the designated pebble spaces, at our field lot on 14th Street and 41 (follow the small brown Reserve sign), on street, or at the former West Indies Home building, next door. Parking is free.

Food options: Light bites available for purchase including morning eats such as bagels, croissants, pastries, muffins and more, and appetizer/dinner items including charcuterie (meat and cheese) boards and hummus/veggie plates. Also, there are a number of great restaurants nearby; we'll be happy to make some suggestions.

Dining in the room: There is also a two-person dinette set in the room, as well as a small mini-fridge and microwave if you prefer to stay in your room.

Air conditioning/heating: There is a simple thermostat in the upstairs hallway that can be set to either air conditioning or heat to our guests' comfort, depending on the temperatures (but we don't normally need heat in Sarasota).

Beach Proximity:
The Reserve SRQ is about a 5 minute drive to both Lido Key Beach and St. Armand's Circle. Siesta Key is just a bit longer. You'll definitely need a car, but there is also low-cost transportation to most desired destinations around Sarasota.

Local attractions/fun things to do:
We are conveniently located in the downtown "cultural area," with close access to: The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall; Florida Studio Theater; Sarasota Opera House; Downtown; Ringling Museum; Ca'D'Zan mansion (John Ringling's house); St. Armand's Circle (shopping and restaurants) and more. We are in walking distance to Publix; Whitaker Gateway waterfront park; tennis courts; playgrounds, and more.

Neighborhood has great neighbors near Downtown and across the street from the Bay. Publix (our grocery store) is just a short walk or drive away. Gas station also equally close. Very near the Van Wezel Performing Arts, Florida Studio Theater, and a host of great restaurants. There is also a playground on the Bay, across the street.
