Welcome to our private artsy two bedroom suite in the fabulous North Beacon Hill neighborhood! This 800 square foot 2 bedroom apartment is centrally located just 2 blocks from restaurants, 1 block from an amazing park, a ten minute walk to the light rail station, a 1 minute drive to I-5, and quick drive or ride to stadiums, downtown, the convention center, universities, or the airport.

Le logement
Enjoy two spacious bedrooms, a living room with fold out couch, kitchenette, ¾ bath, and private entrance with small outdoor sitting area. This basement apartment is on a corner lot in a recently renovated 1915 house that gets lots of morning light. NOTE: The apartment has low ceiling height, see below for more details.

Rooms:
One room has a queen sized bed, the other has a single bed. Both bedrooms have bedside lamps and iphone chargers.

The living room has a couch that folds out to a small double bed—good for one adult but right for two. We can provide a double air bed if you ask in advance. The apartment has a 40" Roku TV and wifi and is decorated with art that we’ve acquired on our travels as well as pieces we painted ourselves. There are games to play and a jigsaw puzzle to do, a few books about Seattle and surrounding area (we also love to give personalized advice about our neighborhood, city, or region so please don’t hesitate to ask!).

Our kitchenette has a full refrigerator, toaster oven, electric kettle, microwave, and single countertop burner (no oven). It is outfitted with basic kitchen supplies including knives, cutting board, cheese grater, wine key, serving bowls, salt, pepper, oil, and coffee and tea. Let us know if you have other kitchen needs and we will try to accommodate.

In the 3/4 bathroom there is a hairdryer and straightener, and we provide bulk shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and body wash.

Accès des voyageurs
We'll send you a custom access code to use with key box.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Ceiling height - This cozy apartment has low ceiling heights. We are 5’10” and under and comfortable down there, but if you are tall you will find yourself ducking in areas. Please keep this in mind.

Sound - We are fairly quiet, but when we’re home you will hear us move around upstairs, and in the bathroom area you will hear water running now and then. Our area of Beacon Hill is quiet at night and most people sleep soundly in our house, but you may hear planes fly over and other normal city noises. For those who are sensitive we have a white noise machine in the apartment to drown out the minimal noise.

Accessibility – Though it is a basement apartment, there are four steps up to the house from the street and another two steps down into the apartment.

Kitchen - There is no oven, just a refrigerator, toaster oven and microwave.

Children - we welcome children but our home is not child-proofed.

Seattle, Washington, États-Unis

We love where we live. North Beacon Hill is a vibrant, safe, and diverse neighborhood just southeast of downtown Seattle that has plenty to offer and is a great jumping off point for exploring Seattle and surrounding areas.

Within 1 block:
--Jefferson Park (with amazing play area, water spray park, skate park, lawn bowling, golf course/driving range, tennis courts, the Beacon Hill Food Forest, and more)
--Tippe and Drague Ale House, a pub with full menu, free popcorn, and weekend brunch that welcomes all ages. They have lots of game nights and TVs for viewing games.
--#36 bus stop which goes to International District, Downtown, or South Beacon Hill

Within 3 blocks
--Victrola café
--El Quetzal Mexican restaurant (where you can often watch soccer games on TV) with bar and patio.
--Hello Bicycle for any repairs or purchases you may need
--Yoga on Beacon for yoga classes of all level
--Bar del Corso which has amazing pizza and ambiance, and sweet patio seating.
--The Oak – a hip bar and restaurant with excellent food for meat eaters and vegans.
-- Homer - a new James Beard-nominated hip Mediterranean restaurant is just past the Oak. Opens at 5. They also have a walk up gourmet soft-serve counter.
--#36 bus stop - 36 takes you right downtown. Sometimes I choose it over light rail because it features a beautiful view of Seattle about 5 minutes in.
--#60 bus stop which goes to First Hill hospitals.

Within 4-6 blocks
--Beacon Hill Light Rail Station –the light rail is a max 10 minute stroll from our house. Trains from here will get you to the airport in approx. 25 minutes, stadiums in 10, downtown in 12, Capitol Hill in 15, and University of Washington in 20.
--Red Apple – A small grocery store with everything you need.
--Perihelion Brewery – great local brewery with full menu and very pleasant outdoor seating.
--The Station Café and Fresh Flours Café and Bakery – both have great coffee, FF has amazing baked goods, The Station has an incredible community focus.
--Delight Bakery – excellent donuts and Filipino treasures, a Beacon Hill mainstay.
--Baja Bistro – excellent Mexican café and LGBTQ friendly small bar with Tuesday night drag shows.
--VA Hospital – in case you are working or visiting the VA

5-10* minute drive to Downtown, stadiums, Georgetown, International District, Lake Washington, Alki Beach or the West Seattle Junction. *Traffic in Seattle can be bad at times so if you are traveling during rush hour or are on a schedule plan to check googlemaps or wave before you head out!

I own the house with my partner and together we live upstairs. We’re both longtime Seattleites, librarians, readers, art enthusiasts and makers, and avid travelers.

Pendant votre séjour
We live in the house above the AirBnB. We are often around in evenings and weekends and are happy to give advice on exploring the town and finding great food and drink. We’ve both been in Seattle for years and have lots of ideas. :) If you are more interested in privacy that is great too – no interaction required.
