We live on a 30 acre farm homestead in the rolling hills of southern Vermont. We currently have 15 chickens, 4 goats, a border collie, a puppy, two kittens, a brick pizza oven, gardens, the best star gazing you can find, and a beautiful view. Watch and listen to the birds, hang out with the goats, or explore Southern Vermont. During the summer we are around and working on the farm, so if you have any questions, we are usually available!

Le logement
The perfect "contact-free" and "social distanced" vacation! Secluded and quiet, we provide you a campsite with outhouse, a tent (if needed - please inquire), a fire pit, four Adirondack chairs, and two hammocks (as of October 10th, our tee pee was taken down due to harsh weather conditions). You will be able to see our house from afar, but far away enough to feel like you’re alone. We’re the only house on our dirt road so all you will hear are peepers, birds and goats (along with wildlife far in the distance - hey, it’s camping and we’re in the mountains!)

We make homemade pizza shells in our outdoor brick pizza oven and then top them with fresh ingredients from the farm for our campers with enough advance notice (please inquire).

If you love animals and being outdoors, then this is the place for you! We have two very friendly dogs (one is a 6 month old puppy) and the puppy will most likely visit you during your time. Most enjoy this, but if it concerns you, it might not be the right place for you.

There is no running water at the site but we provide you with a clean 5 gallon jug with spigot filled with fresh water from the well. You can use to this to drink from, wash hands, and use to cook. This can be re-filled up at our house if needed.

Accès des voyageurs
You have plenty of space surrounding your site to relax and enjoy. We will respect your privacy during your stay. We also ask that you respect ours. Our house, surrounding gardens, greenhouses, and front lawn are private and not for guest use. The goat fence is electric so please don't touch it. Although we can turn it off for you if you'd like to pet the goats!

Autres remarques
Camping in VT in October: we are in the hills and it is getting chilly (some nights even below freezing) at night! It’s a good idea to have good camping equipment and to be able to start a fire to keep warm (although we can help you with the fire - just ask!)

This is a perfect option for those who want a "contact-free" vacation. We can wave to you from afar and answer any questions via the airbnb app. We're secluded!

We are following all policies and suggestions from the CDC as well as cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. We do politely ask that if you are feeling sick or you have been in close contact of anyone who has been sick to please stay home and do not come to our campsite.

Firewood, kindling, and matches are available at your site for a nightly donation of $5-10 a night.

We can provide a tent upon request. Our 6 person tent (sleeps 4 comfortably) is available for rent. The tee-pee is not meant to sleep in (unless you want to, be my guest!)

Our site is not vehicle accessible. We do provide a cart for you to carry your things down to the campsite (about 200 feet away).

Please do not leave food out after bedtime as not to attract bears.

Service is limited in southern Vermont. Please plug address into gps before entering Townshend. You can use our WiFi when on the property.

Pets are not allowed on the property. Sorry!

My husband and I love to travel (when we’re not farming and hosting WWOOFERS) and have been inspired by our Airbnb hosts in other countries. Living in a secluded area, we are happy to meet new people and show them the beauty of southern Vermont.
