Our home looks through the beautiful pink bougainvillea, out over green treed hills to the west of Nambour... glorious sunsets. The room is newly furnished, quiet, comfortable and bright with private ensuite shower and toilet. The French doors open out onto a lovely small secluded patio area where you can enjoy your morning cup of tea.
Jamoke Expresso Bar, 4.3 rated, only 10 mins walk for your coffee fix with one of their delicious cakes.

Le logement
The room can have it's own entrance through the French doors from the patio or can be accessed from inside the house. The room is just next to the front entrance of our home, and just off the living/dining and kitchen area which is also available for your use.

Both windows and French doors have insect screens fitted.

The house is accessible from the street up a short but steep drive and steps. Our accommodation is not suited to people of limited mobility. Parking is available on the street.

There is a small plunge pool available for you to cool off in. It is visible from the guest bedroom window. The pump is on between 11am and 4pm.

The house is set up to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We encourage recycling and the conscious use of resources such a water and electricity. We avoid the use of chemicals such as bug sprays and synthetic air fresheners in the house. Any scents here come from pure essential oils.

During your stay, we provide 'no nasties' Envirocare shampoo, conditioner and Simply Clean lemon myrtle body wash should you want to use them.

The house is pet free, although we do have friends who visit occasionally with their small dogs. We are also a smoke free home.

We currently have no TV. There is no toaster or microwave. We intending getting a mini oven soon.

The WiFi is turned off at night from 10.30pm to 7.30am.

Nambour, Queensland, Australie

Nambour is the gateway to the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Blackall ranges, Maleny and Montville. We are 15 mins drive from Mapleton Falls National Park and its fabulous walks. Just a couple of minutes further on is Kondalilla Falls National Park. If want something closer by then there is Cilento Park.

The nearest beaches are just 20 minutes drive away at Twin Waters, going through the small town of Bli Bli with it's famous "castle". And Noosa is only 35 minutes away.

Nambour is buzzing with a vibrant, energetic music, art and cafe scene. With venues such as The Bison Bar, grain free cafe 'Husk and Honey', theatre at Lind Lane or grass roots art at the Old Ambulance Station as well as an awarding winning RSL, there is something to suit most tastes. Nambour Showgrounds hosts the Queensland Garden Expo every July and South Queensland Caravan, Camping Expo in April.

If you are into magnificent Thai cuisine, the Spirit House in nearby Yandina is renowned for it's restaurant and cooking school. Or go to famous Eumundi Markets which is easily accessible by bus or car.

If you are here to see friends or relatives at Nambour General Hospital, it is only a short 10 min walk. Go to the highly rated Jamoke Expresso Bar across the road for yummy cake and coffee.

I have lived and visited many parts our glorious globe and enjoy meeting lots of different types of people. We are currently living in the hinterland area of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. After being in the UK for 37 years, before returning to Australia, you could say I am an Anglophile, love BBC Radio 4, especially 'Desert Island Discs'. And the 'Great British Bake Off' I am developing a daily practice of Qi Gong ( Ren Xue) and am working towards doing the teacher training. This is very important to me. Being half French, I am also a Francophile and try to keep my conversation going with various French groups around the area. We are pretty 'Green'. I have volunteered for Boomerang Bags, where a group get together making shopping bags from donated recycled fabrics. We line our bin with newspaper, have solar panels and various composting bins and worm farms on our property. As a guest I would say I am quiet, respectful and tidy. Awareness of being in someones home. Happy to engage in conversation or social interactions if it feels right. As a host happy to be social if guests want to be. Equally if guests want to keep to themselves then we will respect that.

Pendant votre séjour
I am generally at home and my partner David, is out at work 3-4 days per week or found pottering in the garden.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the house and neighbourhood. Although we have only been in the house for 6 months, we have lived on the Sunshine Coast for 7 years so know things pretty well.

Having travelled widely, we are interested in other cultures and people in general, so are more than happy to socialise if our guests want to. Our home is generally a quiet haven (except for the noisy lorikeets) so we understand when visitors require their own space.

The kitchen is available for guests to use and we can find a small amount of space in our fridge.
