Located within 3 blocks of one of San Diego’s premier beaches, The Loring Beach House, is beautifully appointed and ready to be your home away from home!

The Loring Beach House is just a short stroll to Tourmaline Surf Park, famous among surfers, Law Street beach, and close to sunbathing, swimming and other activities at Pacific and Mission Beaches.


Ideally situated, it’s also only a very short walk to excellent local restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and neighborhood bars. Bike or take an electric scooter in minutes to all of the popular area spots: Garnet Avenue (the main street in Pacific Beach), La Jolla, Mission Beach/Bay, and the Boardwalk.


Our spacious, well-stocked kitchen has seating for 10, lots of wood cabinetry, new stainless steel appliances and a large center island. The living room and two bedrooms have newer flat-screen UHD TVs, cable w/DVR, new mattresses and luxury bedding.


Great for family gatherings, The Loring Beach House has a spacious, private, gated brick patio in the back with gas fireplace, BBQ, a Marquis hot tub that seats 6, a teak dining table that seats up to eight, and plenty of additional seating for everyone.


The front of the house has an inviting grassy yard and large, wooden deck with plenty of space for chairs. Two off-street parking spots are available in the driveway next to the house.

While The Loring Beach House can accommodate up to ten (10) people comfortably, and more if requested, we find that 8 guests is optimal and have our home set up for that. Additional charges will be incurred for more than 8 guests.


***House Rules***


- Primary renter must be at least 25 years of age (Gov't issued ID may be required by owner prior to checkin)


- Good Neighbor policy: This is a quiet, family neighborhood and, although a private residence, The Loring Beach House is part of a triplex. Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am M-Th, 11pm to 8am Fr-Su. We expect our guests to treat our home and our neighbors as they would treat their own. Violations of this policy could result in the guest being asked to leave early without refund.


- Absolutely no smoking, vaping or drugs on or around property


- Guests with pre-approved pets are expected to walk them to do their business curbside and not in the house, on the patio or on the lawn


- COVID-19 Rules: PARTIES ARE CURRENTLY NOT ALLOWED. GUESTS MUST FOLLOW CDC AND LOCAL GUIDELINES, WEAR A MASK AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN OUT IN PUBLIC.


- ADDITIONAL CHARGES: $500 security deposit or hold on credit card required for all reservations; $30/night/guest for more than 8 for additional wear-and-tear and cleaning; $100/pet for pre-approved, house trained and well-behaved pets.

Please note: Due to the moderate coastal climate of Pacific Beach, our home has NO A/C (as is the case with most older homes in this area). However, there are ceiling fans in 3 rooms as well as 2 portable pedestal fans for your use on the few days it gets warmer in the Summer.


The Loring Beach House is a separate house with a private, enclosed patio, but part of a complex with three total units on it. Guests will have the run of the house, but must respect our Good Neighbor Policy as our neighbors are family and friends.

The Loring Beach House is equipped with all of your needs for a fun-filled visit to the beach. We have five adult bicycles and one's child's bicycle available. We also have beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and towels.

The Loring Beach House is also equipped with basic needs for infants and toddlers. We have a modern pack'n play with bassinet/changing table, and a high chair available so you don't have to lug those items across the country.
