Designed by Brian MacKay-Lyon, the Beach House incorporates the distinctive characteristics of old English barns with a central area and 30 foot high cathedral ceiling. Finished in pine throughout its interior, its exterior is weathered shingles. Located in an 18th century settlement featuring Cape Cod houses constructed from handhewn beams. Adjacent is a small, quaint, centuries-old settlers cemetery called Der Strandfriedhof. Sunrises and sunsets are observed from decks.
