Le logement
Truly the most unique place you might ever stay in! Mosaic tiles, original turn-of-the century cabinets and sink, artistic rustic touches everywhere.
I lovely reading corner with full library has recently been added.

But, with modern conveniences like a Keurig machine, microwave, flat screen tv with cable, gas fireplace, shower in the claw-foot tub, and of course, a luxurious bed and linens.

House rules
- Must be able to climb a fairly steep flight of stairs to get to The Artist's Loft
- Please, no large groups or parties - shared hallway with The Peacock Loft at Luminaries.
- You use an electronic keypad for check-in...code will be sent to you the day of check-in
-Please make sure to lock the apartment using the keypad when you leave as well.
-Access the Artist's Loft by ascending the metal fire escape-style stairs on the south side of the Luminaries building
- Parking is free behind the building (Luminaries Building private parking lot) and free on the street as well (but any guests staying between Nov - April must park behind the building as there is no overnight street parking these months because of snow plow concerns).
- Please do your own dishes before you check-out. Also, we ask respectfully that no bacon, sausage, or other pungent foods be cooked on the stovetop (oven would be fine) as there is no range hood in the Artist Loft kitchen.

Autres remarques
During the months of November through April, street parking overnight (on Washington) is not allowed, but, please park in the back of the Luminaries Building in our gravel space behind because we own that property. But, feel free to park on the street level during the day and evening.

Please make sure to lock the apartment and outside building when you leave.

Please do not take any items from the Loft.

Feel free to use the patio in the walkout basement level of the building for your relaxation and enjoyment.

Please do your dishes before leaving. Also, if you have used the fireplace, please make sure it is off before leaving the Loft and before going to bed. Thanks!

Saint Croix Falls, Wisconsin, États-Unis

In western Wisconsin, St. Croix Falls has become a destination for people who want to go places.

It's the western terminus of the 1,000-mile Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which traces the last glacier as it began to melt and retreat northward, leaving a marvelously lumpy patchwork of rock, rubble and river gorges.

It's the southern trailhead of the 48-mile Gandy Dancer State Trail, a scenic crushed-limestone bicycle trail named for the rail workers who rhythmically swung pickaxes and hammers made by the Gandy Tool Co.

And it's the headquarters of the 252-mile St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, with a new visitors center that helps paddlers plan trips from the Namekagon to the St. Croix's confluence with the Mississippi.

There are another 12 trails in Interstate State Park, which became Wisconsin's first state park in 1900 and is the start of the Ice Age Trail.
