This whole place rental is perfect for small/large groups looking to escape countryside while still being close to city amenities. There are five private rooms, large kitchen, two and a half bathrooms & two living rooms. There are 8 beds plus the option of camping on our 4.5 acres along the Tomorrow River. There is a garden with chickens, yard games, grill and covered back patio. There is river access for fishing, two fire pits, tubes and a canoe for use. We welcome folks of all identities!

Le logement
This rental is for a private (not shared with anyone) unique space that accommodates small and large groups. We have pricing set up where a couple can rent the entire space or a large group looking to connect during these uncertain times will feel comfortable settling in.

The prices are adjusted per added guests making the space on average $60-50/guests/night. We have made it so couples and families can pay less and still experience this unique space. For large groups we charge more to accommodate for more cleaning, utility usage and wear/tear. If you are interested in booking for a wedding we only accept bookings for Thursday-Monday to accommodate for tent/porta-potty/chairs rental delivery. We have a package available on our Tomorrow River Homestead site.

Each room is flooded with natural light with views of the our old red barn. You can cozy up in a queen bed under a down comforter and enjoy the stillness of the country. We have wifi that reaches all corners of the space. Our kitchen is stocked with basic cooking amenities, gas stove, a refrigerator for guests to store food and plenty of ways to brew coffee.

Guests can use our canoe or black tubes to travel the Tomorrow River which borders the back of our property. Hike the Nelsonville Community Sanctuary, a 40 acre nature trail located just down the street from our homestead. Discover Lake Elaine just a 15 minute walk south or ride bikes along the Ice Age Trail. We are less than a 10 minute drive from Lake Emily and Sunset.

Central Wisconsin is known for its small organic farms, quaint food co-ops and a year round farmers market. We have a wonderful array of restaurants, but guests should feel welcome to shop local and cook up in the kitchen. Get a flight or bring home a growler from Central Waters (Amherst), Oso’s (Plover) or H.H. Hinder (Waupaca). Whether you head 15 minutes west to Stevens Point or 20 minutes east to Waupaca, there is plenty for the pallet.

For the last two years we have done individual room rental, this is not the case anymore. We are only doing whole place rentals. With the current world health crisis we have chosen to offer whole/entire place rental. Throughout 2020 we have had many families enjoy get togethers where they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to. While we live adjacent (imagine a very very large duplex) we do not share any space together. We live in our own house separate from any guests. You may see us on the property feeding chickens, homesteading, etc. However, you have over an acre of space in the yard to spread out and enjoy yourself. It is likely you may not actually see us.

Our home is not ADA accessible, our main living room area and washroom is up two steps. There is an extra bathroom large enough for a wheelchair, but it is not coded ADA. The hallways and doors are wide enough for wheelchairs, but there is a 1" bump at the two exterior entrances. We are dedicated to becoming more suitable for folks with varying abilities and we encourage you to contact us for details, inquiries and suggestions.

Hello AirBnB Friends! We are PNW transplants who have been renovating our historic property here in Central Wisconsin since 2017. Our life adventures have taken us to seven countries and all across the United States. We have used AirBnB as a travel companion and as a means to host new friends for years now. We are in our third year of running the Tomorrow River Homestead in the Village of Nelsonville. This village has 155 residents in our beloved community. Our facility is a converted rest home on the Tomorrow River. We are inviting folks of all walks of life to spend some time with us and enjoy our creative space. I am Rue, I usually manage bookings and am available for providing your requested unique experience of the area. I am Freelance Creative Director, artist, educator, and homesteader. My personal art practice involves image and text, fiber, printmaking, video and performance. My passions are great conversation, delicious food and a commitment to becoming low waste. Zay is a solar installer for a cooperative renewable energy company. He also side gigs as a butcher, loves help me with projects and is teaching himself to fly fish in the Tomorrow River running along our property. We look forward to meeting you! Rue and Zay
