This hand sculpted dwelling feels like an indigenous hut with comfortable country furnishings.

It is at the back of The Garden of Eden eco-village, a thriving small community dedicated to sustainability and philanthropy!

With over 3 acres of land, cultivated & wildcrafted gardens, and families living here, the vibe is wholesome and progressive.

Enjoy the privacy of the secluded Cob cottage, or join us on the grounds or in the main house for activities and communal meals by donation.

Le logement
The Cob cottage is cozy and private, though it is rustic and quite simple. As part of our ecovillage culture, we are dedicated to living sustainably and the Cob cottage is a great showcase for that!

Cob is a mixture of sand, straw, clay, and water - this sweet little cottage is literally handmade out of Earth! It is a very peaceful and oh so unique place to stay :)

The insulating nature of cob is such that it stays a little warmer in winter and a bit cooler in summer.

Electricity DOES run to the Cob house. It has a space heater in winter and a small AC unit for the summer months.

Wifi does not reach to the cottage in the back of our property, but you can come to the main house to connect.

There is a lock on the door for your privacy and comfort. We ask a returnable $20 deposit for the key to the lock.

We will provide a reusable water bottle filled with filtered water in your space. You may refill this with filtered water from our kitchen and use for the duration of your stay so you don't have to go to the store and buy bottled water (which is not only poor quality water often no better than tap water, but is also packaged in disposable plastics that harm health and pollute the earth). If you would like to take the sustainable water bottle with you on your journey, they are available in exchange for a small donation.

We provide a complimentary continental breakfast for you with hot tea, seasonal fruits, a variety of organic milks & cereals, organic breads, and delicious spreads in our shared dining area of our main house.

You will have your choice of restroom facilities! We have a shared indoor bathroom in the main house with running water, flush toilets, and a hot shower available when our residents are awake (we generally have at least one person awake almost any time of day).

We also have an outdoor shower that pumps 55 degree water straight from the Earth! It is crisp and refreshing on a hot day, and invigoratingly brisk in any other weather. We invite you to try it if you wish!

You also have private access to your own outdoor, composting toilet just outside the Cob cottage if you want to try the all natural route and donate your waste to rebuilding the Earth! Humanure is taken to a special compost pile on our property where it breaks down for a year before we use it to provide nutrients for the plants. Your private composting toilet is equipped with sawdust, hand sanitizer, TP and baby wipes.

There is another composting toilet facility just outside the main house that is used by our residents and guests. You are welcome to do your business wherever you are most comfortable!

Because we are a thriving ecovillage, we always have many very interesting people around! The Cob cottage is very private, but there is a lot going on. We have extensive gardens, and many projects. There are lots of animals, bugs and nature as well as fun and interesting activities.

Accès des voyageurs
If you would like to access the internet or other amenities, we have a main house which you may access upon request or during mealtimes. Wifi also reaches around our back deck and sustainable outdoor kitchen. We have ample seating areas outside.

You are of course free to use your private rental space! You are also welcome to enjoy much of our grounds. Please be aware that we have residents and other guests here at all times, so respect those areas that you have not been explicitly invited into. Our barns and sheds are private spaces for our residents and are off limits to guests.

Autres remarques
We ask all adult guests to submit a photo of your valid ID before or upon arrival, and to sign and have notarized a User's Agreement before your arrival.

The User's Agreement includes our house rules, as well as a waiver of liability and a non-disclosure to protect our privacy and the safety of all of our inhabitants and guests.

This User’s Agreement is published on our website, but AirBnB blocks these links. We can send the link via text or email when you make your reservation.

We keep our gate locked at all times to ensure safety and privacy for ourselves and our guests. Visitors are free to come and go as they please of course - please just give us a heads up so we can have someone attend the gate for you!

Please give us at least a 5-10 minute heads up when you are ready to check out so we can have someone check your space with you to ensure you didn’t leave anything behind, turned off all lights and fans, and that nothing is missing or damaged.

You may call or text us if you need anything. Our phone number is visible after you book, or can be found on our website.

Please be sure to read our House Manual when you confirm your booking, as it has lots of info about our standards for our home and property.

We grow and prepare beyond organic, world class cuisine every day from our Über Dank Cafe! Continental breakfast is included with your stay, but you can order hot breakfast for $12, lunch for $15, or dinner for $18 per person. We offer discounted meal tickets for longer stays!

For our longer term guests, we offer discounted meal plans for our delicious, nutritious, high vibe cuisine.

We have a washer that you are welcome to use for a $3/load donation. We have a clothesline for drying clothes.
For longer term stays, we also offer cleaning and laundry services. We will wash, dry, and fold sheets, towels, and personal laundry items for $10 a load. We can provide room cleaning services for $15, which includes tidying, sweeping, dusting, and changing the sheets and towels.

We have a unique boutique space with handmade, vintage, global, and sustainable goods - epic handmade knives, medicinal jewelry, stones & crystals, epic threads clothing for women & men, and über dank preserves - all on offer towards building a better world for ALL! Please schedule a private showing to peruse our treasures.

We also offer unique healing services like massage, sound healing, Reiki, and reflexology by donation for $80-100/hour. Please let us know if you would like to schedule a private therapy!

Our neighborhood is very rural, yet we are just a 5-10 minute drive to the city. It's a nice balance of being close to conveniences but away from the air, sound, and sight pollution!

The Garden of Eden is an Ecovillage just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This small community is home to about a dozen people aged less than 1 to 60, two dogs, and several cats. It was founded by visionary author, speaker, and consultant Quinn Eaker on the principles of Freedom, Responsibility, and Sustainability. Our daily life here is rich, vibrant, abundant, and inspired! Each person here has a unique personality and style of contribution to the flow of life, yet all wake when they want and help in the ways that are most meaningful, joyful, and important to them. We use very little water, power, and other resources. We salvage even more than we conserve, and put old things to new uses in creative ways. Each day is a day of celebration of life, and each meal is too! Here we have great feasts just about every evening, and a pretty nice spread of a lunch buffet too. Breakfast is usually smoothies, or farm fresh eggs made to order. We drink activated structured water, full of delicious herbs and fruits to enhance absorption and nutrition. We welcome you to stay in our custom Cob Cottage, built of this land with our own hands, and experience the magic of the Garden of Eden. OR try out our cozy travel trailer space! We also have private rooms available in our shared main house. For more information about us, find us on (Hidden by Airbnb) - The Garden of Eden (Kennedale) - or visit our website.
