Le logement
Several important things to mention:
1. Special things about this apartment.
2. Why this is the best spot on Garda?

1. Special things about this apartment.

THE VIEW. You really can't imagine the beauty. It just keeps you breath! And a small private garden where you can grab a book and lay down in hammock. Enjoy a dinner on a grass with breathtaking view.
The apartment is totally disinfected between the guests arrivals with chlorine containing cleaning products. In addition to that all our properties have separate entrances and no common spaces shared between guests. I don't how we could make it anymore COVID safe.
We may take care of all household stuff during your vacation: cleaning, washing, cooking, babysitting etc. for extra charge. Basically we provide full “room service” for extra fee of 15EUR per hour based on time we need to complete your task.
We are eager to help you plan and organize your vacation. Let me give you an example how to choose specific place on Garda for your holiday.

2. Why this is the best spot on Garda Lake?

Garda Lake is huge, so where is the best area for vacation? Here are some points for your consideration:

a) Northern vs Southern part.
Alpes mountains start in the middle between south and north of the lake where it gets narrow. So if you like mountains like me and want them to be right at hand for instance to do trekking then it is the Northern half of the lake. Here you can find any individual and family sport activity you can think of: trekking, paragliding, mountain bike, alpinism, windsurf, kitesurf, yachting, white water & canyoning etc. Too long list, just ask us what you want to do and we tell you where to find it. The only thing we do not have here is surfing And North is by far much more “landscapy” if I may say so.
The Southern part of the lake is plain, however you still have great view of the mountain on the horizon. South is more beach tourist type, much less sport activities there. However all kids focused activities (namely Gardaland amusement park, Caneva World waterpark, Parco Natura Viva zoopark etc) are concentrated in the Southern part around towns Bardolino and Lazise. It is not a long ride from North, however if you plan Disney World type of vacation with kids (I mean 7 days of amusement parks) – then certainly Lazise and Bardolino is the spot you need to stay around. Peschiera, Sirmione and Desenzano areas are mostly beach focused destinations.

b) East vs West shore.
In the south part of the lake there is no big difference. In the north part west shore is much more rocky with just few towns like Limone on the waterfront. Which means less beaches and tourist attractions around. And the view from the west beach is not as spectacular as from the East beach (like you can see in our photos).

c) Town vs village.
In large and most popular touristic towns in the North like Malcesine and Riva del Garda to me it is too overcrowded in summer, however it the center for sightseeing and sports. In small villages like ours you have the same or even more authentic medieval scenery (like hundreds years old paved mule track in mountains behind the house you are welcome to explore), nice truly home run restaurants and bars, smaller local watersport centers and you can always easily reach the major spots for sightseeing or sports with a short car ride. So basically the smaller village, the less overcrowded it is. Which also means more space on the beach.

d) Waterfront or mountains?
Obviously it looks like that the closer the place to the waterfront, the better. However there is traffic noise from Via Gardesana. This is the highway which goes along the lakeshore and which is busy 24/7. So if you think of tranquility - always look for something several hundred meters away from it. Most villas by rich people on the lake are a little bit up in the mountains. There are only few on the waterfront. Because only in this case you can open windows and enjoy bird voices and tranquility instead of traffic noise.
Another consideration – the view to the lake from the top is more picturesque. Seriously. On the waterfront you have tons of eater in front and small mountains on the horizon. If you step several hundred meter away and up you get a harmonic picture like in the photos

I learned all that after 10 years of visiting Garda and based on these considerations I knew where I want the house to be once we decided with my family to reallocate here and start doing B&B instead of corporate jobs. This is a type of experienced Garda traveler in depth insider advice you can get from us regarding every aspect of your journey.

How to avoid traffic jams when driving to Garda Lake in summer?
How to avoid queues to MonteBaldo cable car?
How to organize a private plane flight over Garda Lake?
Where to go trekking?
What is the best wine yard of Valpoliccela to visit?

We know all this and many more. Just ask what you need! And check out the “Location section” details below. There we have written down tips regarding activities to do around during your vacation which will certainly keep you busy at least for 1 week.

The HEART of our hospitality is our family place GardaDom, which is just 200 meters away from the apartment. Several times a week we invite all our guests to our place to share great local wines& cheeses and interesting talks.

Où se situe le logement

Brenzone sul Garda, Vénétie, Italie

Brenzone is an agglomerate, which unites around 20 small villages both on the shore of the lake and in the nearby mountains. Each if them has couple of cozy family run restaurants and bars and a grocery store. We are in Sommavilla/Pozzo, which is one of the smallest and uncrowded villages of Brenzone, which is just 500 meters away from the lake shore up the mountain.

Here it's is by far not that overcrowded as in Malcesine - the capital town of the Garda Lake - or other top touristic destination on the lake. You can always easily find a free spot on the shore on the lake on a safe distance from other people and will not bump into crowds of tourists around.

However Malcesine is easily reachable by car and is just 5 km away. Its 5 minutes drive by car from the house. Or 1 hour walk by foot along the lake waterfront. Restaurant, bars and grocery stores are located on the waterfront and easily reachable by foot within 5 -15 minutes walk (or by car in 30 seconds drive). However be aware that on your way back from the waterfront to the house you will need to go up the road.

The beautiful thing about small villages of Brenzone they are very authentic, with many locals people living here and great family owned restaurants. I really do not know a single bad one in the surroundings. It always great food & great service - as the place is not out crowded - there is always a lot of personal touch to the guests. Waiters remember everybody who visits them, like a lot when you come back and do nice compliments. Nice relaxed welcoming homey tranquil atmosphere .

What to do around?
Trekking. We are right in the heart of Brenzone Nordic Walking park. Trekking routes start from the appartment door and their plenty of them. Most routes go along 500 years old paved mule routes in the mountains. Feels like trekking in the mountains following the medieval secret paths. With lots of really old rustic mountain houses here and there. Small unique churches. Semi-abandoned village of Campo with great restaurant in it. For more detailed information - please got to the website “”.
Water sports. 10 minutes walk from the appartment there is our local watersports center Acquafresca - where you can learn kite surfing, windsurfing, yachting or rent equipment for any of the above. There is also great club cafe in there. Basically you can spend the whole day in the watersports club^ ride in the morning, dine there and ride in the afternoon.
Malcesine: Cable car, castle, lake trips, paragliding.
There is easier way to get to 2000 meters high mountains behind the house. MonteBaldo Cable Car in Malcesine, 5 minutes drive away and it will get you up the mountain in 15 minutes. In summer it overcrowded - so ask for the trick how to avoid queues. Basically you need to go to the middle station. Do can do a paragliding jump from Monte Baldo. Its safe and thrilling 
Don't miss Lino Susy’s Pasticceria on your way back from the mountain and the Malcesine Castle in Malcesine and overall authentic medieval scenery of the town (it is closed to cars and all the town is one large pedestrian area)
Another thing in Malcesine – you can join a group trip on a old 19th century yacht at the port of Malcesine on Wednesdays afternoons. Or rent a motor boat for couple of hours and go swimming in the lake from the boat along with a bottle of Prosecco and fresh fruits. It certainly worth it.
And of course as in any great touristic town there is good shopping and restaurants there.

North. Many great spots for nature sightseeing are in the north of the lake, around Riva Del Garda. Also center for alpinism, mountain biking and other active sports. Ask us and we give you specific spots.
Private plane trip around the lake. You can stir the plane even for a while your self. Maximum 5 passenger per plane.
For Kids from 0 to 60 years old. Visit Parco Natura Viva (largest zoopark with Safari in Italy). Certainly go for GardaLand – the largest amusement park in Italy and third largest in Europe. Caneva World – great water park as well.
For wine lover. Visit Valpolicella wine yards, they worth it. Our favorite is Mazzini.
Thermal parks. Our favorite – Parco Termale del Garda and Acquardens.
Everything above is just 40 – 60 minutes drive from the apartments depending on traffic.
Not enough? Tell us what you want and we help you to plan or organize that during your vacation!

We are the Russian family who got in love with Garda from the first sight 15 years ago! Our dream to start own family guesthouse here came true back in 2018 when we reallocated here from Moscow and started our GardaDom B&B. Bought a 16th century house from 93 year old Signor Veronese (you can see his heritage museum in our garden),renovated it... gave a birth to our forth son and ... and on THE STORY goes... Garda is THE PLACE that we are totally in love with! And WE LOVE sharing it with our guests as well as many other stories and legends of the family and the area. Nowadays our rental apartments and houses are located all around our former B&B GardaDom that is nowadays our family house, where we invite all our guests in the evenings to our fireplace to share wines, cheeses, stories and talks! You can think of this as a live social network – you meet us and other guests at our place and this moment we all become neighbours:) Welcome to our friends & family homes at Garda Lake!

Pendant votre séjour

The most exciting travel experiences is always about meeting outstanding people. That's what makes every house unique - it's owners and their energy.
If you like the feeling about this place and its atmosphere, just follow your heart. To give you some rational basis to this feeling - here it is:) Read on.
We say visiting us is like visiting your friend's house. GardaDom where we live is 200 meters away and has large garden, patio and fireplace hall.
It is me, my wife Adel, uncle Oleg & aunts Alena and Luisa, cousin Vlad & our family friends Nika, Tanya & Lena who run the place altogether. You are always welcome to drop by for a cup of coffee or glass of wine to our garden, which is 200 meters away from the apartment. I am an ex-investment banker & venture investor, my wife is unconscious phycologist, my cousin is IT-freelance manager, Oleg is former military tank battalion commander, Nika is professional opera student on vacation because of COVID, Tanya is former logistics top manager, Lena just graduated from university in tourism management.
Me, Adel, Vlad, Nika, Tanya, Lena or Luisa - there is always someone from our family around who can help you with planning your today's adventure. So you can drop by our garden, have a glass of wine or cup of coffee and ask us whatever you want or need help with and interact with other guests around. Imagine a real social network. Its like FB, but in real world. And you can always contact us with any messenger you prefer)
We also have guitars (including electro one) & piano. So if you are a music fan or you just want to sign something - you can always drop by and ask for one. Or you can sign together with Nika opera. Or come and play the piano in our fire hall.
You can join our highly guest’s honored family Russian breakfasts with pancakes & porridge in the garden of Garda Dom. Basically everybody – it is the tradition - gather around 9 am for the breakfast. We have some tables here and there in the garden. So you can grab the tasty stuff and enjoy it in privacy. Or you can join our family table. The only thing to be aware off - my 1,5 year old, the cat and the dog. They may explore something near you. And sometimes they are really curious - but don't worry :) We keep eye on them and make sure they are not going bother you too much.
Our elder daughter is 8 and she likes to play a lot with elder kids. So we are a kids friendly environment. With at least 2 kids being always around this environment:) you can leave your kids play in our garden with our kids and go for a dinner just two of you.
We can do a barbeque in the evening together. Or a cooking master class. Or you can just drop by our garden and spend time in hammock with a book. Or we can go on a guided trip into the mounatins. So basically tell us what you want and I am almost sure we find how we can do together.
I really mean it is like that. See reviews. Welcome to our large family:)
The most exciting travel experiences is always about meeting outstanding people. That's what makes every house unique - it's owners and their energy.
If you like the feeling…
