Our quaint, cozy vintage cottage has easy access to everything Grants Pass has to offer. Walking distance (under 1/2 mile) to the river, 3 parks, hospital, fairgrounds, downtown core, great shopping, restaurants, pubs, groceries, pharmacies, banks, gyms, YMCA, jet boat tours, and more. Bus stop 1/4 mile. Sidewalks and bike lanes at end of driveway. Large, off-street parking. Fully fenced yard.

Le logement
Many vintage and antique items amp up the romantic charm of our snug and quirky little old house, which is also outfitted with modern conveniences. Since we are often obliged to be away, we are pleased to share them with you:

Super-comfy memory-foam queen bed. Natural fiber bedding, with down-filled duvet, and both down and synthetic-fill pillows. Plenty of extra cushions and blankets. A child is welcome to sleep on the couch (it is about 5’ long), and we can provide a baby bed with bedding, upon request.

Well-equipped kitchen (your hostess loves baking) and laundry facility for your cooking and cleaning pleasure. Please note that there is no dishwasher. The gas dryer works fast, but there are also retractable clothes lines in the sunny backyard, if you want to give your garments that fresh, outdoorsy smell.

We invite you to leave your sketch or message on our Chalk Wall in the Hall. An antique Piano is available to play, after washing and drying your hands.

Private backyard suitable for most dogs (but please clean up after them). Steel Fire Pit with spark cover, cooking grate, and firewood available for guest use (please check current burn regulations during summer fire season).

Many products (mostly organic) are available for your use, but in all cases, please wash your hands before touching containers.

We strive to clean everything thoroughly and as naturally as possible, and we also disinfect frequent touch points. We have committed the “Enhanced Cleaning Protocol,” insofar as it can be harmonized with our personal sense of environmental responsibility, and as long as it doesn’t require us to limit the comforts we make available to our guests.

Please note that Park Street Cottage is not wheelchair accessible, due to a few low steps and thresholds, and narrow passageways.

There are about 520 square feet available to guests in the interior of the building. The bedroom is about a 9.5' square. It's bigger than a "tiny house" or RV, but it's a really small house, built on the scale of a bygone era. We try to make our pricing reflective of that fact.

Accès des voyageurs
Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, except for our children’s bedroom and the garden shed, both of which are locked.

Autres remarques
The yard maintenance guy comes once a week spring through fall, usually on Sunday.

The front yard sprinklers run off of a pipe from a nearby irrigation canal. They may come on or turn off at any time during the hot, dry season, at the discretion of the district water master. If desired, they can be turned off manually at the "Y" valve on the stand pipe in the front yard. Their water is not potable. The backyard hose bib faucet is metered city water and safe to drink.

Please check our local burn regulations before building a fire in the backyard. You can almost always assume that a burn ban is in effect throughout July and August. It usually continues into September, unless there is significant rain.

For warmth in winter, it helps to keep the curtains closed at night and to place the draft dodger pillows at the bottom of the exterior doors. To keep the pipes from freezing, it helps to keep the door open between the kitchen and laundry room, and open the cabinet under the bathroom sink. The plumbing is in a poorly insulated outside wall there.

Grants Pass, Oregon, États-Unis

Safe, shady, easygoing older neighborhood. Right in the heart of Grants Pass, just south of the river, a very short walk to the Caveman Bridge. An excellent base camp for rafting, hunting and fishing, and day trips to explore the Oregon Caves, redwoods, the coast, the Siskiyou mountains, the Rogue and Applegate wine regions, and even Crater Lake.

I’m a middle-aged mother of three who loves baking, reading, writing, music, art, and outdoor sports. I was born in southern Appalachia, but have lived in 14 different cities, 5 states, 1 Canadian province, and 4 different countries. I come from a long line of travel enthusiasts, but I personally feel the best part of any adventure is coming home—with a broader perspective and a more open heart.
