I am Remi Thackrey and I look after several apartments in Collioure and Ceret. Feel free to look me up and make sure I'm real. I grew up in Lancashire, UK and spent much of my adult life living in different countries around the world finally settling in the South of France in 2012. I am also a keen traveler and take every opportunity I get to explore new places. As such I have taken all the best features I have come across and tried to incorporate them into your experience of staying in one of our apartments.
I spend time with each of my clients when they arrive to help them plan what to do during their stay. This way they get the most out of their time here.
I work hard to make sure the whole experience is as good as possible. From the initial enquiry to the return home.
If I were to advise travelers here are a few things I would suggest:
Decide what is really important for you during your stay and contact the property manager to make sure that it is available. Remember, the property is only a part of the holiday experience and ask about other aspects. Feel free to call me or email, I am happy to answer your questions.
Check the photos of the property and read the description properly! Really, please do it, and once again, please do ask questions if you are unsure of something.
Take advice from the property manager on what to do in the area. We have lots of local knowledge that can't be found on the internet.
TRAVEL INSURANCE, make sure you have it! Many things can go wrong, from illness to your holiday being cancelled. While these things are rare they could happen. At least this way you will be covered.
Let us know if you are going to be late. We always try to arrange an arrival time. I know from personal experience that delays are inevitable at sometimes, but please don't forget that there is someone who is waiting for you on your arrival.
Finally, if something isn't right during your stay, let the owner/manager know while you are there. We can usually fix it. There really is nothing that can be done to improve your holiday once you have left.
