This is a truly unique cabin from the 1950's and a throw back to simpler times.

Our cabin is beautifully decorated with a Western Big Bear theme. Everywhere you look you will see something unique or woodsy. The vaulted exposed beam ceiling gives you the true cabin feel. Sitting on a large flat lot with a faux Western Town and mature trees, our cabin provides an excellent atmosphere of privacy.

Le logement
Our 600 sqft fully fenced cabin is beautifully decorated with a Western Big Bear theme. Experience vintage 1950's charm with upgrades amenities. Most of the decor is authentic and vintage, so our guests should take caution to avoid old nails and random splinters.  Everywhere you look you will see something unique or woodsy. The vaulted exposed beam ceiling gives you the true mountain feel. Sitting on a flat double-lot with mature trees, our cabin provides an excellent atmosphere of privacy and peacefulness.  The rear deck overlooks the partially fenced yard with a faux western town backdrop. The flat lot allows for easy accessibility year round. Whether you're in the living room or entertaining on one of the two decks you will see squirrels and woodpeckers all day long. And, the dramatic fireplace serves as the perfect backdrop for whatever your vacation will entail.

Our cabin is dog friendly. If you have allergies, the cabin may not be a good fit.

We are within walking distance to Sugarloaf park and Easy's General Market (Liquor Store). The street is very quiet with little traffic yet it has easy access to all the mountain resorts and amenities. The roads are cleared of snow quickly in this part of town too. The flat parking area to the right of the cabin is large enough for 4 full sized SUVS.  The driveway is deep enough to park a 36 foot trailer and truck with room to spare.

***HOWEVER... IN THE WINTER MONTHS AFTER A HEAVY SNOW WE CAN ONLY GUARANTEE 1 PARKING SPACE. YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO A SNOW SHOVEL JUST IN CASE YOU NEED EXTRA SPACE.***

There is 1 SMALL bedroom and 1 loft upstairs. We can accommodate 5 people but 3-4 people is much more comfortable.

The downstairs bedroom has a newer mattress (Queen) and a TV.
The upstairs loft has a new memory foam Double Bed and a new memory foam Twin Bed. The loft has a door with access to the rear deck.

The bathroom is clean and features a stand-up shower only. (no bathtub). The shower is SMALL.  It is the size of a shower in a camper, but taller.  The home comes fully equipped with fresh linens, sheets and plenty of towels. The kitchen is fully equipped. In addition to a microwave, a coffee maker and a toaster; you will find all the pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware etc. that you will need.

Paper towels, kitchen towels, bathroom tissue, trash bags, sponges and general household supplies are also provided.

A 50-inch SMART HDTV with Spectrum cable service is provided in the living room.  The bedroom has a 32-inch SMART HDTV.  The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. Use the smart TV features to log into your own Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts. The basic cable has over 150 channels including ESPN and the music channels.

The front deck features a propane grill and an extra tank.

The wood burning fireplace is very easy to start, but please bring your own wood and starter.

We even have the typical kitchen junk drawer with all the extra tools, batteries and bulbs that a quick trip might need. :)

We are a Big Bear loving family. We've been vacationing on the mountain for over 25 years. Our children love the area and all that is has to offer. Our cabins should feel like home for you. We have all the extras that you would expect as we use the cabins regularly and try to keep them ready for whatever we would need. We love the location of Sugarloaf. The streets are very quiet and the homes are more spread out than most in downtown Big Bear. The location is great as it's only a 10 minute drive into town. Even during peak vacation season, our streets are quiet yet cleared of snow quickly. We are just far enough out for true privacy and still close enough for easy access to "The Village" downtown and the ski resorts. The area of Sugarloaf has the National Forest on 3 sides, so we like to park at the end of the roads and go for hikes in the backcountry when we can.
