We have two letting rooms: the double room has a spacious ensuite wetroom, Wifi, TV and DVD player, clock radio, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Towels and Myddfai toiletries are provided. There are a selection of DVDs for you to borrow but feel free to bring your own if you would like to.
Cenarth is a small and friendly village on the banks of the Teifi. Set in beautiful countryside it is a popular place to visit because of the falls and salmon leap. If you don't know the area we have lots of leaflets with suggestions for things to do and maps for exploring and walking.
  • Un logement et une hôte au top ! Un breakfast délicieux ! Nous recommandons

    Patrick2019-09-19T00:00:00Z

Local towns and villages such as Cardigan, Newcastle Emlyn and Aberaeron are well known for their links to medieval Wales centuries ago and remain very much unspoilt, retaining their essence of Welshness. Whilst you are here, you can spend relaxing days visiting the abbey at St Dogmaels, The Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran, Cenarth Falls, stunning blue flag and dog friendly beaches with coast walks which you may even share with seals and dolphins as companions, breath-taking mountain walks in the Preselis, home of the bluestones used to create Stonehenge (just HOW did they get them there?!), market towns boasting eclectic and unique shops, and many more attractions, depending on your interests.

We have two comfortable double bedrooms in our 19th Century farmhouse home, Pen-y-banc, simply furnished in a country style and feature exposed beams stone walls. Taliesin, with one king bed and an ensuite shower room. It has a lofted ceiling with attractive timber beams, stained glass panels and double windows to the side. Both of our guest rooms are up one flight of stairs with several extra quirky steps, so may not be suitable for visitors with limited mobility.
We are located in the centre of the area in Wales that was the centre of the woollen industry in the late 19th century. There are 50 water driven woollen mills within a 10 mile radius, the national woolen museum is a working example and is only 1 mile away in the village of Drefach-Felindre. We are 15 miles from the fantastic coastline and beaches of the Cardigan Bay which also hosts the largest dolphin pod in the UK.

We've tried to make the letting rooms a place where we'd be happy staying so we hope that they're comfortable and you'll have everything you need to relax and make the most of this beautiful part of Wales. The room has a kingsize bed and also a sofa bed which would be fine for two children or just sitting on, of course. There's a TV with Sky box sets and catch up stations and a DVD player. There are DVD's for you to borrow but you may prefer to bring your own as we have mainly horror films and crime thrillers. There are tea and coffee making facilities, free Wifi, a hairdryer and clock radio. The ensuite has a toilet, hand wash basin and shower. Towels and Myddfai toiletries are provided.
Cenarth is a quiet village. I looked us up on Wikipedia and one of the featured photos is 'Cow finds shade' which tells you quite a lot. This is probably not the place to come for nightlife but if you're after beautiful countryside, stunning beaches, neolithic burial chambers, coast paths, local history and crafts, birds, dolphins, seals etc and friendly people then this is a great place to come

A beautiful location in rural Wales offering peace & tranquillity. Just half a mile from the A484 midway between Carmarthen & Cardigan. Within easy reach of the wonderful coast in an area full of history, culture and adventure. The room is ensuite. We have a 2nd room that can be set up with either super king size bed or two full size twin beds. Find it at 'Waunwthan Cottage Bed & Breakfast. Woodland Room'. Booking both rooms provides accommodation for 4 people. A travel cot is available.
Meadow Room - Space & Location We have two bedrooms that are each en-suite with freeview TV and wi-fi, and a comfortable sitting area. This room has a Kingsize bed. The other has the option of a SuperKingsize or twin beds. There is external space to sit and enjoy the peace and fresh air (and the stars). Each room is also supplied with a kettle and a selection of hot drinks together with biscuits, fruit and sweets. There are books and DVD’s for you to borrow whilst you are here. The house is a converted barn in a fabulous and secluded rural location yet within half a mile of the main ‘A’ road (A484) mid way between Carmarthen and Cardigan. It is set in within an old farmstead and includes two and half acres of woodland and ponds which provide a peaceful and tranquil space for you to walk in. We often have sheep grazing and always have our chatty chickens roaming around. It is dark (no street lighting!) and on clear nights the stars are spectacular and the milky way is often to be seen. We love the nights when the moon is full and the sky cloudless. Kites and Buzzards are regular visitors and in the summer we have our own flock of Swallows and of Bats that nest and breed around our various buildings.
Local Facilities This a fabulous rural location in a secluded spot in an almost secret corner of West Wales. Despite its feel of remoteness it is close to the main road and has all necessities close by. There is a pub within a mile that serves good pub food. There is a garage about 2 miles away that provides for main needs (and fuel at a good price) and a decent general stores also 2 miles away that contains a post office and cash machine (that does not charge). The small towns of Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn are about 4 miles and 6 miles away. They are both truly local places that have small interesting shops and café’s. In this corner of Wales the majority of the population speak Welsh as their first language. Language is not a barrier in any way - enjoy the added interest of hearing a different language being spoken around you. You will be welcomed whatever your language! With your own transport, in half an hour you can reach both Carmarthen and Cardigan, lovely market towns, villages, museums and castles, or many of the glorious beaches around our coastline. If you enjoy walking, canoeing, mountain biking, cycling, fishing or golf – all of these facilities and more are close by. And there are galleries, craft and antique shops aplenty in the surrounding area. There are many lovely restaurants and pubs to enjoy.

Bel espace. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux. Seulement deux bars locaux alors si occupé, planifiez à l'avance!

  • Quel endroit incroyable! On reviendra certainement.
