“This place is awesome. Great food, diverse atmosphere, and live music! The Garryowen is a favorite for locals wanting to eat, drink, or see music. The expanded dining area offers a family-friendly space in addition to the bar space. The food is great, and the service excellent. ”

“Huge menu. Love their Acapulco salad...lots of jalapenos hiding in the lettuce leaves. Great place to watch activity on the Square. Get a window seat. ”

Lodging
“Looking to change up your humdrum weekend plans or wondering what you can do for a fun weekend adventure? I've got the perfect suggestion for you. Liberty Mountain Resort is a beautiful resort that offers lots of adventure and dining options for you. It's a great date day or a family fun day. My personal favorite activity is snow tubing at Boulder Ridge. Stop by and make sure to catch the shuttle and tell driver Big Mike (my hubby) hi.”

“Amazing food in the middle of a small PA town. We love it here--small, intimate atmosphere with superb food. Try the french onion or tomato bisque soup. The burgers are great as is the steak or seafood specials. This is 10 min from the cabin. They also have an amazing brunch on weekends.”

Cafe
“Open Wed - Saturday, 11am - 11pm. This gem-of-a-spot in downtown Gettysburg offers in-house roasted coffee, tea, kombucha, and many specialty soda drinks. But, Waldo's is not just a coffeehouse! They're an art collective that features a gallery, book store, yoga classes (taught by yours truly), and music venue. Want to learn a new skill or practice an old one? The Waldo's Trade Shop will teach you to use the dark room, letter press, or pottery wheel and more while you're here. ”

Boulangerie
“This local bakery is heavenly. From their pastries to their savory dishes, you cannot go wrong (very few gluten free baked options, however). The flourless chocolate torte, chicken pot pie hand pie, sourdough bread loaves, and rustic tomato soup, are just a few of our favourites! All of these tasty treats are baked at one of our top restaurant picks: Fidler & Co!”

“Weiss is larger than Kennies and smaller than Giant. It is located on this side of town. Their produce section is a bit better than Kennies. They have an in-store bakery and deli.”
