“The largest park in Amsterdam and certainly the most famous park of The Netherlands. Go here if you're a park lover, otherwise I would recommend to go a bit off the beaten track and chill out in Amsterdam North (NDSM wharf). ”

“Le monastère est d'abord connu pour avoir accueilli Vincent van Gogh de mai 1889 à mai 1890. Chef d’œuvre de l’art Roman provençal, le cloître du XIème et XIIème siècle est adossé à la chapelle de pur style roman dont la façade a été modifiée au XVIIIème siècle. ”

Marché
“Probably the most well known market in Amsterdam, with stands selling everything from shoes and luggage to fresh vegetables and fish. You’ll also find typical Dutch treats like raw herring or warm, freshly made stroopwafels. The market is situated in the heart of the De Pijp district, one of Amsterdam's liveliest areas, filled with (ethnic) shops, cafés, restaurants, and cosy bars... Definitely get a matcha latte at Matcha Mafia.”

“The quaint and quirky streets that straddle Amsterdam’s grandest canals form the city’s most photogenic micro-neighborhood. Known to locals as De Negen Straatjes or ‘The Nine Streets’, this special neighborhood is full to bursting with vintage and designer shopping, specialty stores and cozy cafés. If you ask us the Nine Streets are the most cosy streets of Amsterdam. You find them within walking distance of the Dam Square at the western part of the Canal District. Like the name suggests, the district is famous for its nine streets connected by the canals. Here you will find great fashion boutiques and delicious lunch cafes. The Nine Streets are a must visit for everyone living in- or visiting Amsterdam. The Nine Streets consist of: Reestraat, Hartenstraat, Gasthuismolensteeg, Berenstraat, Wolvenstraat, Oude Spiegelstraat, Runstraat, Huidenstraat and Wijde Heisteeg. This neighborhood is a very popular area to buy clothes, books, jewelry and art. Fans of vintage clothes can shop at Laura Dols, Episode or Zipper. If you arrive in the beautiful Nine Streets around noon try to get a table at one of the many cute little eateries like Ree7 or Pluk. Enjoy wandering around the Nine Streets! ”

“There is a lot to see and do in Amsterdam, all depending on your taste. If we were in the neighborhood, you could run into us and other locals at Roest. If the weather is nice, nothing beats Amsterdam Roest (5-10 min walk) at Jacob Bontiusplaats. At an old factory location, Roest has a pseudo beach area, a rough edged arty atmosphere and plenty of cold drinks.”

Café
“The best apple pie in town – with or without whipped cream. If you're lucky (and that's most of the time), the pie is still warm from the oven. Combine your visit to Winkel 43 with a stroll on the Noordermarkt (market) on Mondays or Saturdays.”
