“The highest tower with a magnificent view. For the dear devils you can swing over the edge of the building. You have to buy tickets online to be able to get a seat. Tip: eat dinner at the moon restaurant 2 floors down, and go for free to the look out. (without the swing)”

“You’ll find the De Gooyer Windmill located between Funenkade and Zeeburgerstraat, next to the IJ brewery which pours traditional Dutch beers. It is about 35 minutes walking from the city center.One of Holland’s many famous windmills, the De Gooyer Windmill was used as a flour mill and dates back to the 16th century. It is one of the few remaining windmills located within Amsterdam, and is also the tallest one in the entirety of the Netherlands. Octagonal in shape, the wooden windmill was once a part of a group of five windmills located here though it is the only one remaining. It has been built, destroyed, and rebuilt over time, with its wooden facade over the original stone placed in 1814”

On the Square you can find the historical Palace, madame tussauds, Bijenkorf (shopping mall) and various cafes which you can visit as well.”

“Industrial area with old shipyard converted into an​ artistic beehive​​. Also hosts the biggest flea market (IJ-hallen) in Europe once every month. It is definitely worth it to take a stroll around if you are into this kind of thing. How to get there: take the free ferry behind Central Station to NDSM (leaves every 20 minutes) ”

“The castle of Amsterdam. Very nice to visit with kids on a rainy day. From April 1st to October 29th, Amsterdam Tourist Ferry operates a daily service (except Mondays). The boat departs from the marina of Amsterdam IJburg. You can also go there by bike: a lovely trip through the Diemerpark and along the Markermeer (45 minutes).”
