“La Kiva is a really cool, unique restaurant/bar that's sunk down into the earth like a cave. Good food, great ambience, right on the edge of the Terlingua Creek a couple miles from the ghost town. They frequently have acoustic musicians playing during dinner. ”

“The best BBQ in west Texas! Open for lunch and early dinner. Small outdoor/covered dining area. Seasonal hours, usually Wed-Sat., everyday during busy times. Great brisket. Get the rotisserie chicken, only avail on Wednesdays, I believe.”

Restaurant
“Weird place, weird hours, but good pizza/bar. They don't do "to-go" orders because they do not have pizza boxes, lol. ”

“The Bad Rabbit is the cafe back in the Terlingua Ranch Lodge. This option is closer to the Big Bend Glamping property if you're not wanting to drive into Terlingua. They've got good food, good wifi and good vibes. The Lodge also has a pool, nice bathrooms and showers that you can have access to as well.”

Cafe
“Great little coffee shop a mile and a half from Mel's Place. It's like a mini-Starbucks. The "Dirty Hippie" is my favorite coffee drink there. Homemade muffins and other grab n go pastries/bagels. They close at 11 a.m. Located in the parking lot of Far Flung Outdoor Center. This is a walk up window to order. There is outdoor covered seating right next to the building.”
