The Guards room, an airy modern double bedroom with en suite in a lovely converted railway station with its own entrance. Situated on the outskirts of the rural village of Drax. The house is secluded and sits within 2.5 acres surrounded by trees. You will have the benefit of a shared breakfast room with complimentary cereals, toast & pastries. There is also an outside space for you to relax in. We live on the property and between us we have 40yrs of hospitality experience. 1 of 2 rooms available
We are a very busy family and have a number of animals so we will be regularly working on the property but we wont interfere with your stay. You will have your own entrance to your bedroom and breakfast room separate to the main house. We also have plenty of private parking on the property. We also have a similar room available to book if you are part of a larger group or family off the same landing. There is a breakfast room for you to have breakfast with kettle microwave toaster and fridge, from this room you will also be able to access a garden area for you to relax in.
There is a wonderful welcoming pub in the village called the Huntsman, serving evening meals and wide drinks range, also Drax golf club is a 3 min walk from the house which serves an excellent Sunday lunch and food every night they also have regular entertainment. Carlton towers is also just a short drive away and there is a taxi service based in the village.

Vraiment bien fini tout au long, y compris le petit déjeuner dans le prix qui va au-delà des attentes. Fournir une salle de petit déjeuner est également une touche très réfléchie. Privé, calme et propre. Tout ce dont tu as besoin. Nous recommanderons certainement cet endroit et nous y reviendrons à l'avenir.

  • L'un des meilleurs hôtes que j'ai eu via Airbnb, un cadre très calme et un charmant pub local. Bon emplacement pour 20 minutes en voiture de York. La salle de bain et la douche étaient 10/10 et la télévision connectée était une bonne idée pour une chambre bien présentée et propre. Sans oublier cette superbe couverture supplémentaire. Ma fille et moi sommes restés pour la soirée, Louise s'est mise en quatre pour nous accueillir et pour que nous nous sentions les bienvenus - Les chambres étaient élégantes et extrêmement confortables et nous recommandons vivement cet endroit où séjourner.   • C'est un endroit absolument génial où séjourner - à un prix excellent, d'une propreté irréprochable à tous points de vue, une chambre immense et très confortable et confortable! Le lit était vraiment confortable et la salle de bain belle et grande. C'était génial qu'il soit également séparé - donc vous vous sentiez comme si vous aviez votre propre petit appartement.   • J'ai choisi la propriété de Louise parce que je restais avec mon fils de trois ans, cela semblait très sûr et pratique pour se rendre à York. A notre arrivée, Louise m'a fait visiter la propriété et était très sympathique. J'ai été ravi de voir que les chambres étaient décorées à un niveau élevé et étaient extrêmement propres. Le bonus de cette propriété était la salle du petit déjeuner où vous pouvez choisir parmi les céréales, les toasts, les yaourts et les boissons chaudes. Louise et son mari ont été fantastiques avec mon fils et m'ont fait sentir à la maison. Je reviendrais sans aucun doute chez Louise. Ce fut un vrai plaisir!

    A cosy cottage retreat in the rural countryside. Set in a small village location, The Barn offers a peaceful place to stay while you enjoy the surroundings. A fully furnished and self contained space, perfect for a couple. Alkborough offers some fantastic walks, cycle routes and excellent bird watching opportunities. Clean, friendly dogs are very welcome to stay too.
    We offer an open plan ground floor with Kitchen, Dining and Living areas. The Living area offers a sofa bed for additional guests. The first floor offers a double bed, plenty of storage space and an ensuite with bath and shower. There are plenty of original features and quirky characteristics in The Barn.
    Alkborough, located in North Lincolnshire, is a very peaceful and friendly village located on The Cliff range of hills, overlooking Trent Falls, the confluence of the River Trent and the River Ouse. Within the village is The Paddocks tea room, open Thursday to Sunday. There is also a village club open weekdays from 5pm and weekends from 12 noon inviting anyone for a warm and welcoming drink. Opposite the club is Julians Bower which is a turf maze standing on the hillside, overlooking the confluence. This is an ideal starting point for walks, including the Trent Valley Way and the Nev Cole Way.

    The cottage is a great place to escape and enjoy the countryside. Perfect for meeting up with friends or a family get together, sleeping a maximum of 8 people. It has a private garden with large HOT TUB, lovely sunsets and lots of wildlife. The cottage is located in Brind, a small hamlet 2 miles from the market town of Howden and within close proximity to the picturesque city of York. We welcome all visitors and look forward to meeting you.
    The straw cottage has 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a king size bed and one large family room with a double bed and two single beds. There is a double bed in a bedroom downstairs too. There is a bathroom upstairs and a shower and toilet downstairs. The kitchen and lounge are open plan and very spacious.
    Quiet, rural and relaxing hamlet with many lanes and footpaths nearby for walking and cycling.

    Pleasant, quiet B & B situated 12 miles south of York in a small village. We have 2 double and one single room for guests. We now offer evening meals with prior arrangement. Have a look at the pictures of food available. We can offer English, Spanish and Moroccan meals. Please discuss your meal requirements when booking.
    Peace and quiet yet only a short distance away from the delights of the City of York. You don't have to book a minimum of 2 nights as city centre places insist and also we have a large free parking area. We welcome well behaved dogs (With prior approval) but not upstairs in the bedrooms We have a utility room where they can happily spend the night-We suggest you have a cage that the dog is familiar with, to safely sleep in.

  • Paul et Helen sont d'excellents hôtes et nous avons été traités comme des membres de la famille. Les instructions étaient très spécifiques et nous ont aidés à trouver très facilement le Air BnB. Paul nous a donné des connaissances locales (le pub en haut de la route était fabuleux) et des conseils pour la suite de notre voyage. Le petit déjeuner était merveilleux, je recommande vivement cet Air BNB.

  • Convient pour les visites autonomes. 15 minutes de York. Peut faire l'expérience de la vie locale. Le propriétaire Paul est hospitalier et le petit-déjeuner préparé est très copieux. J'ai soigneusement indiqué l'itinéraire d'arrivée et donné des conseils sur les endroits où manger le soir. Hautement recommandé des listes de qualité. Le seul inconvénient, c'est que notre chambre double est trop petite et que nous sommes un peu fatigués pour nous pendant le voyage.

    Comfortable king sized bed plus double sofa bed perfect for families with 2 children. Use of a separate living room with a sofa bed which can accommodate 1-2 extra guests. Large guest bathroom with bath & separate shower. Positioned in a beautiful quiet rural setting with lots of nature walks. Only 10 minutes walk to the local pub across the field. Lovely garden to sit & relax. Ample driveway parking. Garage can accommodate motorbikes & bicycles. Wifi included. Breakfast not included.
    The house is a large comfortable friendly place with lots of warm low lighting. You can relax in the guest living room with DVD, book or music. We also have a shared seating area in the conservatory/orangery to watch the birds & other wildlife. Every evening we have a range of hedgehog visitors. If you like cats, there are lots of cuddles on offer. Our indoor cats are friendly & enjoy meeting new people. They are used to families. The family: We are a couple in our 40s with a 3 year old little girl. We would expect guests to be respectful to the fact we have a young child so noise kept to a minimum. We have rescued free range chickens & house/indoor cats.
    The local church is a site of historical importance as it the site where Robert Aske led the peaceful rebellion of 40,000 men against Henry the 8ths church reformation. We are also adjacent to a SSSI for important wetland bird species.

  • Je ne sais même pas par où commencer. Malheureusement, nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit, nous aurions aimé pouvoir rester plus. Nous avons adoré la maison, tout était parfait: la chambre très confortable, le lit confortable, nous avons dormi avec les fenêtres ouvertes en raison des jours les plus chauds de l'été et le quartier était paisiblement silencieux. Nous avions accès à la cuisine et au salon, la télévision et les livres étaient disponibles pour se détendre. Partout était impeccablement nettoyé malgré 3 chats d'intérieur (j'aimerais connaître le secret !!). Caroline a préparé notre petit déjeuner avec amour et toute la famille est très gentille et sympathique, ils nous ont donné des informations sur York et la circulation. Je ne peux pas les recommander davantage. Certainement, nous revenons.

  • Nous pouvons honnêtement dire que notre séjour avec Caroline a été très spécial! La communication menant à notre séjour a été réfléchie, informative et très sympathique. La chambre était magnifique, tout comme la salle de bain et le salon où nous avons regardé un film avant de nous coucher. Le lit était extrêmement confortable et partout était impeccable. Le petit déjeuner était parfait pour nos besoins aussi avec des fruits frais et des baies, des céréales, du jus, du thé et des toasts, tous présentés de manière créative. Le pub local, The Boot and Shoe, est à 10 minutes à pied agréable et idéal pour boire un verre ou deux, mais vérifiez qu'ils font de la nourriture avant votre visite si vous avez l'intention de manger là-bas. Le White Swan à Budwith est à 10 minutes en voiture (max) et fait de la bonne nourriture (portions généreuses!). Caroline est une joie absolue en tant qu'hôte et nous avons vraiment apprécié de partager sa maison pour une nuit. Ma femme et moi avons convenu que c'était le meilleur séjour d'une nuit que nous ayons jamais eue et nous reviendrons quand nous nous aventurerons de cette façon.

    The cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion offering a welcoming base for your stay. Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, so very eco friendly. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.
    The cottage was originally an agricultural barn which has been converted to a high standard, using the original bricks but with modern insulation to keep you warm and cosy. The kitchen units, doors and windows have all been handmade by a local master craftsman. The ground floor comprises a spacious open plan living area with a separate kitchen. The lounge has a wonderful wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. There is a also a bathroom with a large shower cubicle. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), and a toilet. The cottage is ideal for 3/4 people. The twin room has two single beds. Although it is a little snug for two adults, previous guests have been more than happy with the arrangement. You will need your own transport since there is little in the way of public transport.
    East Cottingwith is a delightful village, mentioned in the Domesday Book. It is nice and peaceful, with lovely dark skies for star gazing. The mediaeval city of York is a must see (York Minster, Jorvik Centre, The Shambles, National Railway Museum) and there are numerous other attractions within easy day trip distance, such as Whitby, the North York Moors, Leeds and Castle Howard. We are near the York Maze and the Wedding Barn at Barmby Moor.

Nous avons apprécié le sanctuaire de l'espace extérieur privé dans lequel nous avons eu la chance de profiter des petits déjeuners et un verre de vin tard dans la soirée. Mhairi était très accommodant par rapport à nos demandes et nous recommandons vivement cet endroit. Je pense que les photos de cet hébergement ne le font pas justice. C'est très spacieux, joliment décoré et clairement bien entretenu. Il s'est avéré être une retraite charmante. Nous avons passé un bon moment à explorer la région. C'était encore mieux, sachant qu'à la fin de la journée, nous retournions dans un logement si simple. Le propriétaire a clairement passé beaucoup de temps à s'assurer que ses clients étaient bien accueillis.     Portington is a beautiful, peaceful hamlet with lots of lovely rural walks full of birdsong and other wildlife. Skylarks sing and deer roam in the fields surrounding the two cottages. The cottages are at the end of a tree lined driveway to a fully working farm. Guests enjoy watching the combine during harvest time or the plough turning over the land followed by hundreds of hungry seagulls, and drilling or baling of the straw.     Teat Hill cottage is well located for an en-route stop for those travelling from the north of Great Britain to the south (or vice versa), or attending events in the York/Selby area. We offer a double bedroom with the sole use of a bathroom in our home which is located the small Yorkshire village of Osgodby. We provide a continental breakfast (gluten free on request) with lashings of good coffee and leaf teas. The village is quiet and has a real ale pub within walking distance.
    We are happy for guests to use our small library and will happily provide access to our internet connection.

Le chalet est magnifique dans un village pittoresque et calme très proche de York où nous avons passé une journée superbe. Notre salle de bain avait une baignoire sur pieds, des peignoirs, des pantoufles et beaucoup de serviettes moelleuses et un style victorien magnifique.     My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families with up to 3 children, friends and professionals working in York who’d like to get out of the City and breathe some country air.
    Newly decorated light & airy bedroom in lovely rural village. If you're looking for a peaceful location but within easy reach of all amenities and the historic City of York then this is it. The room itself is double aspect with a lovely bay window and benefits from getting the late afternoon/early evening sun. It has a comfy double bed with room for a cot and/or floor mattress for children. There is fast WiFi available & a television in the room. We now have an extra room available just down the hall which can be made available on request for £35 a night. It has a comfortable double bed (or 2 singles) and is perfect for families that need extra space or friends that need 2 rooms. Both rooms share the same bathroom just down the hall. The bathroom is clean & functional but nothing too flash. It has sink, toilet, shower over the bath and water pressure is fine. There is a shared utility room in which guests can leave their shoes & coats. You are welcome to use the laundry facilities and we have instructions should you need them. In the utility we have a tea tray area so you can make your own tea/coffee. A continental style breakfast is provided if required & this will be left in the utility the night before. Please advise if you have any allergies. We have a lovely large garden which guests are welcome to go and find a quiet spot in should they wish. We have lots of deck chairs that can be used. If you're into cycling then we have secure bike lock available in our garage. Off street parking on our drive. The Yorkshire Wolds are 6 miles or so down the road with access to The Yorkshire Wolds Way for fabulous walking.
    We love our friendly, peaceful village as we are close to amenities but far enough away to feel like we live in the countryside. We have a lovely canal, perfect for early morning/late afternoon walks and a good pub serving decent food. There is a village shop selling everyday basics together with decent made to order sandwiches, sausage rolls & pies. If you like the sound of birds singing in the morning & don't mind the occasional cockerel then you will find The Beeches a relaxing place.

  • Une maison très spacieuse avec tout ce que vous voudriez en plus du très bon restaurant Peppered Pig juste à côté. Nous avions 8 adultes, un enfant et 3 bébés réunis pour fêter les anniversaires, il y avait beaucoup d'espace et la cuisine est immense. Environ 40 minutes en voiture de York avec les réseaux autoroutiers à proximité. Séjour très confortable et Glen a été très rapide à répondre à mes questions.

  • Wow, quelle propriété incroyable! Très bien situé, immense maison, 5 superbes chambres, 3 superbes salles de bains, immense espace de vie qui était idéal pour 8 personnes, pour se retrouver, jouer à des jeux de société et manger ensemble. Glen était l'hôte parfait - rien n'était trop leur demander. La maison est vraiment bien équipée avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin, a un espace extérieur fabuleux et il y a aussi un magnifique pub juste à côté.

  • Je n'hésiterais pas à recommander cette belle maison. Nous étions un groupe de 10 célébrant le 40e anniversaire de mon ami et sommes restés un week-end. La communication avec Glen a été excellente du début à la fin. La maison est beaucoup plus grande que ce à quoi je m'attendais. Une chose à noter est que la chambre simple est en fait un lit superposé! Quelqu'un s'est retrouvé sur le canapé plutôt que de changer la couchette du haut, mais l'a trouvé très confortable. Comme d'autres l'ont fait remarquer, si vous avez le spa, il s'agit d'une explosion mais il y en a une permanente pour les propriétaires. Personnellement, je n'ai pas trouvé cela problématique, mais d'autres membres du groupe ont trouvé cela étrange. Les équipements de la maison sont incomparables et c'était très propre. La maison est faite à un niveau très élevé. Nous nous sommes aventurés à York pour le samedi et organiser des voyages pour un si grand groupe était un problème. Vous ne pouvez obtenir un 8 places localement - cela coûte 60 £ l'aller-retour à York. Nous avons ensuite dû prendre un autre taxi qui coûte 40 £ par trajet. La maison est d'env. 40 minutes selon le trafic.

  • Une magnifique maison avec beaucoup d'espace. Il y a pratiquement une télévision dans chaque chambre. Espace extérieur fabuleux ... bain à remous et barbecue un bonus. Beaucoup de places assises. Il y a aussi un filet de football pour les enfants. Plus de miroirs à l'étage et plus de serviettes auraient été les bienvenus, mais dans l'ensemble ... un séjour bien apprécié à Glens House.

Lovingly restored by owners Tor & Christian Carver, the property offers charming accommodation with all the mod cons for a family or couple. The decor is classic contemporary, with lots of little touches throughout which make it feel incredibly comfortable and homely. However you choose to spend your time, we think you'll love getting away from it all in our gorgeous cottage. Our holiday cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need for an enjoyable self-catering stay. Perch on the sweet kitchen window seat and enjoy stunning country views with a freshly brewed coffee or a glass of bubbly. If you want to get outdoors, just put your boots on and step out of the front door and you'll find there are many interesting walking routes to try. If the kids need to let off steam why not jump in the car and spend the day at William's Den, the cottage owners' very own adventure play attraction on the doorstep. Even better, adults go free (if you're staying at the cottage) and it boasts a great restaurant where you can eat delicious woodfired pizzas and homemade scrumptious ice cream after the whole family has played all day.     The Stables, an airy modern double bedroom with en suite in a lovely converted railway station with its own entrance. Situated on the outskirts of the rural village of Drax. The house is secluded and sits within 2.5 acres surrounded by trees. You will have the benefit of a shared breakfast room with complimentary cereals, toast & pastries. There is also an outside space for you to relax in. We live on the property and between us we have 40yrs of hospitality experience. 1 of 2 rooms available
    We are a very busy family and have a number of animals so we will be regularly working on the property but we wont interfere with your stay. You will have your own entrance to your bedroom and breakfast room separate to the main house. We also have plenty of private parking on the property. We also have a similar room available to book if you are part of a larger group or family off the same landing. There is a breakfast room for you to have breakfast with kettle microwave toaster and fridge, from this room you will also be able to access a garden area for you to relax in.
    There is a wonderful welcoming pub in the village called the Huntsman, serving evening meals and wide drinks range, also Drax golf club is a 3 min walk from the house which serves an excellent Sunday lunch and food every night they also have regular entertainment. Carlton towers is also just a short drive away and there is a taxi service based in the village.

The village is set in farmland and offers lots of opportunities for walks; the Eastrington Ponds Nature Reserve is beautifully peaceful and is a lovely destination for a walk.

    Walcot Hall, is a Grade II listed Georgian Hall built in 1726, and is beautifully situated on five acres of wonderfully landscaped formal gardens within twenty-two acres of parkland in the North Lincolnshire countryside. The approach to Walcot Hall takes you through the wrought iron gates and along the sweeping gravel driveway to reveal the splendour of the Hall itself. From here you can walk through a secret passageway into our fountain garden, resplendent in lavender and bush roses. The luxurious Hall has six double bedrooms, stables and a tennis court. Two open fires and Aga and four reception. Its very grande but yet liveable and very homely.
