“Great place to go and be out in nature. They have some really cool trails. Trees from all around the world. A REALLY cool model train track that shows some of the history of the United states. Sometimes on the weekends they have family friendly concerts, with food trucks. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets!”

“Adams Mill is an unbelievably well kept mill from the 1800's. You can tour the mill and see a variety of items that were produced and a large collection of old buggies. There's a variety of cabins, access to creeks, camping, and the other old homes that surrounded the mill. You truly walk back into the past when you enter here.”

“.9-mile out and back trail about 10 minutes away. This trail is sometimes not well maintained in the summer but is a popular camping trial. There is usually a small waterfall near the end of the trail. ”

“Keepataw Preserve features 0.28 mile of natural surface trail, ideal for hiking/running. Keepataw Preserve protects a diversity of habitats, including forest, prairie, wetland and a portion of the Des Plaines River. A unique feature of the site is a 60-foot bluff carved from limestone deposits mined around the turn of the 20th century. Wildlife found at the preserve includes the federally endangered Hine’s emerald dragonfly and other rare species.”

“Fun place to grab a bite to eat, over 25 vendors call the City Market home. Go during the week at lunch time for the full experience. On Wednesdays, during the summer there is a Farmers Market outside on Market St. It runs from 9:30am - 1:30pm.”

“This is a main Library for Indianapolis. The original part of the building built in 1906. It is worth seeing the main reading room, decorated in an Egyptian revival style. Go to the 6th floor of the new addition for some great views. ”
